Towards the end, when asked about who should pay on the date, William mentions always the men on the first date... I am curious so then what about the subsequent dates?

Wouldn't hurt to repeat. Although I guess if the lady insists on paying for the food on the second date or the third date, just accept the offer graciously. It's all about timely communication I guess. Work it out with her.

That's basically up to an unspoken negotiation. If the woman wants to pay for the second or third time, or pay for something else instead (the drinks, coffee somewhere, an exhibition ticket or whatever) then thats totally fine. As long as its a genuine quid pro quo and not this sort of reluctantly dry 'I owe you' where its the self seeking personal advantage. It should be sincere, an act of kindness for the other person because you want to be kind.

OMG I like this....

I love what William teaches us, but I find that good manners are totally wasted on women/people who have none themselves. Pity. Regardless of other's lack of knowledge of proper manners, using proper manners is the way to go at all times.
