On another point when changing oil, leave it short of 75ml and get a bottle of 75ml Slick 50, give it a good shake up until it looks sandy in colour while the engine is running and warming up the oil for 30 minutes, then pour the slick 50 in and it should bring you up to the mark on the dipstick, now take it for a spin along an open bypass, and you will hear all those nuts and bolts in the engine go away, mine is sooo much quieter since I done mine, and it protects the initial start-up. just a suggestion Alex.

I remember using Slick 50 years ago in a Triumph Dolomite I had. I didn't realise it was still about! 👍
Great video. We have same problems in Australia getting correct parts.

@@ttxela I’ve given my vin to local dealers, now find out it starts with SDB ….. WHICH indicates it’s a special make. Mmmm. U have any idea to where I can turn even in UK. ?? Cheers

@@tophatter15 I use Autodoc quite a lot, they are German but seem to have most things apart from the really difficult stuff like RHD headlights. They might ship to Aus?
Another really informative video. I might have a go at doing mine now. Many thanks. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺 🍷🍷🍷🇦🇺🇦🇺

Thanks 👍
I use that Fuchs 5/40 synthetic on my Peugeot Boxer base 12valve none turbo 2.5 Autostratus motor home - its good stuff - my engine has piston underside spray jets so I wanted an oil that could take the heat - these chuggers work hard shifting nearly 3 ton - I'm sure you realised by now they go at there own sweet pace - 55 - 65 mph

Hello Roy, I believe the 2.5td is a different block. I think on those the oil pressure sensor is on the back of the engine. Exhaust manifold side.
Hi did you ever find the correct sump nut if so were please I’m really struggling to find one for talbot 1300d 2.5 diesel thanks love your vids
