Changing the E30's Engine Harness

In this video I swap out the engine harness on the e30 for an older one I had that already had wires prepped to go to a standalone ecu. Slowly preparing the car for the eventual ITB install once the harness and megasquirt ecu are in. More videos to come soon.

I’m planning on running the RHD ITB’s here soon on my 87 325is. So first off I wanted to say your content has been super helpful, thanks! Secondly I was wondering which sensors/wires you had to make changes too to run the mega squirt?

Right on, I'm super excited to finally get the car started with the ITBs. Three big changes for the e30 on Megasquirt is to have the O2 wideband, variable throttle position sensor, and intake air temp sensor.
How did your fuse box disconnect? Also a few pics of ur labeling of the harness would be an incredible help if ur willing to release those!

Never actually disconnected the fuse box. I did disconnect the engine harness from the connector next to the fuse box though. That was just a clamp and a twist lock to get it disconnected. Also I don't have any pics currently of the harness but strictlyeta dot net has nice close up pictures and labels for the 325i engine harness.
My e30 is an m20b20 320i from 1989 face lift, but it has the distributor in the left side of the block, what do i need to change for a front mounted one? also im running motronic 1.3

Not too sure about anything from a m20b20. They were never sold in the US so they're a bit of a mystery to me.
