Changing the camshaft and followers on Rover V8 Chimaera TVR 500 5 liter

1997 TVR Chimaera 500, 50k miles on the clock, always a bit rattily but got very much worse so time for a new cam.
I took photo's to remember where everything went, especially the birds nest wiring loom, so thought I would make a montage.
Only issues where the exhaust flexi pipe split and one of the rocker bolt sheered (fortunately easy to extract) she started first time, once we worked out the timing was 180 degrees out !

Very interesting video. Could you please let me know if the rattle changed with engine temp? I have a 400 and suspect it might need some top end work soon.

Rattle can be caused by various things, oil draining out of the followers (wrong oil / knackered lifters / heat) and of course cam wear if you are around 50k mile mark and have been using low or no-zinc oil might be a idea to start budgeting for a cam, followers and chain
