Well watched this video, and decided my Phaze 3 was to the point I didn't want to bowl with it anymore on dryer lanes. When I first bought the ball it was great but it was a different house condition overall and slowly as it broke in didn't improve. Went to league last night, went in the ProShop and asked them to hit it with 2000. Bowled my first 700 series since coming back to bowling last fall after a 20 year lay off. Shot 214, 262,257 it was magical, the ball did exactly what you said now and it blended the oil and dry and doesn't have that insane backend snap when you find a dry spot. Thanks for the video, you just woke me up to a whole world of opportunity with my equipment :).

This was a perfectly timed video for me. I have a Black Widow Pink that I love, but tends to be too flippy off dry. I hit it with 3000 and it’s perfect now. Thank you!

I'm going to show this to my teammate who just dropped the Phaze lll from his arsenal. Ball was SEVERELY over/under for him he just could not get consistent no matter how hard he tried. Move right the thing hooked early. Moved left it never made it back. I was having the same problem with GB3 Black and Blue. Always seemed to be stuck in that in between zone. So I took the shine off and I'm in love now. Great mid lane read from anywhere I move and awesome entry angle to the pocket. Doesn't jump too hard off the dry and doesn't skid through the oil. Amazing what taking just a little bit of surface to your ball will do for you.

Had the same problem with my hybrid hyroad.. put 2000 on it and WOW what a difference! It will now read in the oil and not jump immediately off the dry. Shinny or OTB it was exactly what you described at the end of the video. The shape I get out of this ball dull is amazing. I guess cuz it's a hybrid.. it's even a good bit stronger than my idol now. I recommend this to any ball that's extremely over/under.

I have mine pin up to the right. I start from the 30 board and throw on the 13 board (Between the arrows) and let it go down lane and snap on the back end. I'm a cranker, but she comes back beautiful. 41 ft house pattern. High series 715 with her (Bowling a year and 4 months(Didn't include the time that Covid shut down bowling alleys)). I love the Phaze 3. I just got the Storm Electrify and they say it's a medium-dry, my buttocks. That ball has more hook than the Phaze 3, so I'll be using it on heavier oil. I've learned a lot watching your videos. Between you and Brad & Kyle, y'all have helped me from form all the way to reading the lanes and ball reaction. I want to start buying your merch to, because I still haven't bought a bowling shirt and I've been wanting to. I love watching your videos!

It has to do with your bowling style. With super high revs, you ball will catch dry, and shift direction, but the ball is skidding when it hits dry, which actually makes your brake point smoother.

Alex is right.. any ball you buy and dont love immediately or doesn't fill the spot in your bag you were expecting it to. Dont be afraid to play with the surface. Although some balls need a bit of break in before they settle down. The FLUX is a good example of that. It's a sponge OTB. You will have to move after 3-4 shots with it. After 20-30 games it doesn't soak it up anymore and is 10x better going thru the pins.

The 1st shot after using the 5000D was a little to the right at the arrows and you were correct, it reached the dry a lot sooner than the previous strike shot. So it was more that, than the pad. The 5000D will most likely not reduce shine on a shiny ball, and if it does it will be insignificant. Nice video though.

So I had my volume up high to hear your voice and when the intro hit it blasted my ears and I had to throw off my headset! You really want to "normalize" all levels for future videos.
