Changing Agronomy With Biology Webinar with John Kempf

AEA founder John Kempf describes how biology changes the chemistry and ph in the soil rhizosphere and how agronomists at Advancing Eco Agriculture take biology into consideration when making nutrient recommendations. Love this and all your podcasts. I drink them up like the last cup of water on earth. In the Q&A section someone asks something like does tillage set back the progress biology has made. To borrow a play on words, “its not the plow, its the how”

Thanks John, much of this I have wondered about for a while now. Any good resource that provides detailed information about nitrogen fixing bacteria in soil?

What about feeding minerals to red wiggler worms and applying the castings in the spring? What about adding lots of earthworms to the soil?

Facultative anaerobes can grow with or without oxygen because they can metabolise energy aerobically or anaerobically. They gather mostly at the top because aerobic respiration generates more ATP than either fermentation or anaerobic respiration. ... Unlike obligate anaerobes however, they are not poisoned by oxygen.

The Haney Test or Soil Health Test is an integrated approach to soil testing using chemical and biological soil test data. It is designed to mimic nature’s approach to soil nutrient availability as best we can in the lab. The Haney Test is designed to work with any soil under any management scenario because the program asks simple, universally applicable questions. What is your soil’s condition? Is your soil in balance? What can you do to help your soil? www.wardlab.com/haney-info.php There are other labs available on the web.

How does foliar feeding soluble salts likes Calcium Nitrate or Potassium Silicate affect the plants availability to uptake mineral nutrients from the soil? Can the soil biology be shut down as if you were drenching the soil with monoammonium phosphate?

These ideas are fantastic yet I struggle to apply the concepts in a diverse vegetable farm context without a roller/crimper & seed drill.

Hi John it’s really precious experience information. But when time come for Nutrition, we always give water soluble Fertilizer solution.. may be addiction or lack of knowledge.. I personally very urge for regenerative farming, so any institute or where we can learn practically or virtually.. thanks

Clumping bamboo much like industrial hemp except harvesting maybe 3-5 years carve out smaller diameters first and each year thereafter buffer bamboo cloth softer than cotton and as strong as steel .the contour catch wells ..anaerobic conditions need water

It's just like the flower and the bee there's no separating the two they're both the same thing .biology and plant is the same .neither are complete without eachother.. and cannot exist without eachother. How to remedy the salt nutrient sterilization of farming soils that's where it counts and building the right biome for that to continue.

No perfect men only men with perfect intentions . Or Romans with perfect intentions . The anticipation of an event always trumps the event. Well maybe not always but often. You could always flood your foeld and grow hydrophonocally. But i think soil 're gen is much better.
