Just changed the bulb successfully......without this video I would never have worked out the plastic wing nut bit or removing the carpet inside the boot.....so a big thanks for uploading the guide....the official manual is not detailed enough..Nice one!!

Thanks so much for this. I seem to remember that - with my last car - you just reached inside the boot, unhooked a plastic cover and replaced the bulb. So much easier! A very helpful video :-)

Thanks for the vid was struggling after removing the first 2 bolts never would have thought to remove the carpet and look for that that inside nut I’m sure that make it difficult so you fetch it back to them 👍👍👍

figured it out thank you, a tip if you have a US model 2015 titanium ed. then wing nut is not included, just the two exterior bolts

Great video nice and easy to understand, keep up the good work. What a pain getting to the wing nut. Also why use torx screws on the light and a posi screw inside?

On my 2013 Ford Fiesta Hatchback SE removing the carpet and undoing a nut was not necessary. Only had to undo the two screws from the hatch, like the guide showed, then the assembly could be lifted out. Careful not to pull too far because the wiring harness can not be detached.

robodude666 Thanks for your feedback. The information I provided in the video was from back when I had a 2008 Titanium X. This had the wing nut on the back, so either yours is missing or Ford decided not to fit them to all cars for some reason. Either is entirely possible!

One thing to mention is that you shouldn't touch the bulb with your bare hands as the oils from them can shorten the life of the bulbs

the two screws right on the break light I cannot undo. they are so stripped. maybe I need a bit of a larger phillips head

he said they were torx 25 (T-25) - not phillips...

On USA 2014 model just remove the 2 torx screws and pull the ass'y outward. The main harness elec connector is there . No need for trunk take apart.

2017 st has no plastic wing nut!!!! just take 2 screws out!!! dont remove carpet!! spent 30 min looking for this thing
