Great, just what I needed to do the job - Thank you. Please note: 1. Not all Dampers are the same. Mine had wires for the light switch function and when the arm came out of the damper a small plastic component fell out. It took a while to figure out which way round it needed to be fitted when re-assembling. 2. The tabs on the filter door can be tight especially in colder weather. I needed to insert a blade under each tab and use a pair of pliers to grab a rib on the door to pull it out.

I see the air flow direction arrow showing upwards, is that correct direction? i think it should be downwards from outside to inside the cabin. I remove mine and it was downward showing arrow.

I needed to drop the glovebox but was having difficulty unclipping the damper arm from the side of the glovebox as per the handbook and was afraid of breaking it. Your video solved my problem perfectly as it shows this is completely unnecessary as the damper arm simply follows the glovebox down and can be re-inserted on the way back up. Good video thanks for that!

I just had a price from Skoda to change that for £220 including VAT - Assuming I have found the correct part, they are less than £15 on Eurocarparts and looks like a max of 30 minutes (probably 10 for an experienced technician). Where on earth did they come up with £220? Great video, thanks

Grate video, only thing to point out is that the position of the filter is the wrong way; the arrow (airflow )should point down. Thank you for making the video though.

The left side was difficult to release, much force was needed to put it out but done. Of course as the others said, the Arrow must be to the down.

Beware, there is one significant problem! Since the filter is horizontal and there is dirt on the top, you are not able to pull the filter out so that the dirt does not fall directly into the fan! And there, at best they just rattle, at worst they make a bigger mess. Always when replacing, you need to use a sheet metal jig that slides under the filter before removing it! It can be bought, but of course you can just make your own. That's what the debris that gets collected during the change attacks. It's a hassle, but it's true. I don't know why the designers didn't use a vertical fan like they used to. So watch out for that!

No wonder these pollen filters never get changed

You showing WRONG INFO for viewers: The arrow on the filter shows airflow direction, which should point DOWN, NOT UP, since that is the way the fan sucks in the outside air.
