A historical look at the early days of the forest industry in BC compared to the techniques and technology of the late 1960's.
This production is one of a collection of historical films and videos that were digitized as part of the celebration of the centenary of the BC Forest Service in 2012. Digitization was done through a grant from the UBC Ike Barber Learning Centre and funding from the BC Forest Service Centenary Society

I grew up in a logging family, to this day the donkey (winch) and the bones of the horse that walked off to die are still findable on the mountain of the Fraser Valley of BC.

That's what 60's logging was. Clear fast until stopped by depletion or law suits.
Trees are gone Money is gone People are gone

What ever.This will effect the climate.
