Change Negative Thinking | Using Positive Self Talk

Addiction Therapist and Clinical Director of Tree House Recovery, Rob Mo is giving you science backed techniques for sustainable addiction recovery and total mind optimization. Thinking negatively about yourself is detrimental for recovery from addiction. Rob teaches you the methods to heal these no good thought patterns and replace them with helpful, positive thinking habits about yourself.
Want to greatly enhance your recovery and your life as a whole? Learning what negative thoughts you have of yourself, and learning how to change those - by changing your inner dialogue to self - will change your life completely for the better.
When negative thoughts enter your mind they must be checked and tested using thought techniques that can catch them and change them. If you start talking negatively to yourself, you will push these believes deeper and deeper into your mind.
Over time, negative self thinking and talking will lead to you believing these thoughts as facts, eventually without even having to consciously think about them. If you enter a treatment center with those beliefs and do nothing to change them, your chances of success decrease greatly. But if you constantly, consciously stay aware of your negative thoughts, notice them come in: "i'm not good enough" is a common one for example, and then debate these thoughts with facts: "you're healing your life, you are worth it" - over time these thoughts will become the automatic response and view of yourself.
