"Change Is Now" - The Byrds (cover)

Музыка

My try at beautiful song written by Roger McGuinn and Chris Hillman from "The Notorious Byrd Brothers" Album.
Lyrics
Change is now, change is now
Things that seemed to be solid are not
All is now, all is now
The time that we have to live
Gather all that we can
Keep in harmony with love's sweet plan
Truth is real, truth is real
That which is not real does not exist
In and out roundabout
Dance to the day when fear it is gone
Gather all that we can
Keep in harmony with love's sweet plan
Change is now, change is now
Things that seemed to be solid are not
In and out roundabout
Dance to the day when fear it is gone
Fear it is gone
Fear it is gone

A few weeks after I got the CD, I did a simplified version of "Goin' Back" at an open mic with my uke (backed by the house bassist and drummer.)

Hi John, Terrific cover of this Byrds tune, my Dear friend ! I'm not familiar with this one, but love your cover and the tempo changes. Fantastic job on the vocals and the instruments as always! Love that 12 string sound. BIG THUMBS UP #5. I spoke to Ron Ryan a while back and he told me that he put our cover of "Sailing On" on his Facebook channel and it is doing very well. I don't have FB anymore, so I can't login to see it. If you have FB, you can search for him. Hope you are doing well. Have a great day ! All the very best...... John

Damn!!! As big a Byrds fan as I, I was unfamiliar with this one.....and it's GREAT!! Thanks for much for this! OK, now you got me Byrds inspired again. Check out a Gene Clark tune released after he left the Byrds, but with all five originals playing on it. It's entitled "One in a Hundred." I was unfamiliar with it too, love it, and think you might too!! In the meantime, again, THIS is excellent!!

Great work, thanks. Do you know who played these guitar parts on original record? P. S. I've got Original singles 1967-69. This one along with Goin' Back and Artificial Energy
