I joked about Bluecoats rebranding to Redcoats and siding with the Brits. Why was that accurate lol

I’m hoping this show beats BD like they did in 2016. For crying out loud, their uniforms this year are basically a callback to that year! And no, this isn’t my bias towards the Bluecoats knowing a few alumni. I genuinely like their style of writing and arranging music. (If only they could get Paul Rennick from Santa Clara Vanguard, that’d be a match made in heaven)

I am so impressed with this show. The uniforms are spectacular with the clean lines and patterns that create movement and space. The entire color palette is well-designed and conceived--a huge change from the previous year where you blended into the field. The red Tama drums looked and sounded great--that burgundy or wine color was so sublime it stood out. And the repertoire marched the innovation in this show. I loved the closer. My only concern was the final measure of the closer seemed a bit clownish. You had just performed a beautiful piece of music and you left the listener with a "ka-ching" moment. I think it sounds out of place and a joke that falls flat. I believe you have an amazing show that is poised for greatness! Keep innovating Bluecoats, you are the class of DCI. No one does quite like you. Go Blooooo....
