The fact that this PVC pipe can be remoulded so easily tells me it’s probably not going to last. No wonder it cracked in the first place 😂

I'd be worried it's gonna leak. Pvc isn't bad but I would have just put a regular pvc

I would use this method as a "temporary" repair only. There should be a way to get the old pipe out from the inside and run a new length through the brick wall. I like his ingenuity, but I would be concerned about the pipes cracking again, especially if something hits it outside.

this is a good example of how not to do this
Le atine a todos sus pasos Maestro, la verdad usted es grande, todos sus videos lo veo y lo aplico. Solo que la reducción aun no me sale en la de 4"(desagüe), pero seguiré sus pasos. Gracias por tanto aporte.!
Ingenious resizing with a heat gun. Haven't seen that technique before. But in the US we use thicker PVC pipes than you're using in Peru. Still, fun to watch.
Lo mejor fue el corte del tubo a dentro de la pared, épico, eres un crack 🙌🏻🙌🏻

That is such a cool cheap way to make an internal tube cutter, love it. Thanks!

Bro there like 15 bucks at Lowe's. Like how cheap do you want it to be.
Más que sorprendido, tiene todo mi respeto, ¡usted es todo un profesional!
Thats great work 👏......now do it with schedule 40 which is 98% of the pipe you'll see in a scenario like this in the US 🇺🇸

I can't comment on that. Here in Peru this pipe is under the norm, it seems very thin, but it is very resistant.

@@GasfiteriayElectricidad we had that exact type of pipe for a small amount of time before it was disused because of how fragile it was. I've got some left in my house and I replace it with pex as it breaks down. Just really low quality stuff.
Saludos MAESTRO. Q buen video. Felicitaciones.
Very ingenious, recovering what seems impossible. Very impressed.
For those that don't know, there's a tool called a "socket saver" that's made for jobs like this. It helps so much.. I used to use that tool when I worked on swimming pool plumbing...

Can't do this with SCH 40 PVC haha. That is the cheapest looking pipe I've ever seen.
You know doing that creates blockage overtime. Due to the fact that the part you have inserted is an outlet for the drainage. Particules will keep gathering and then eventually its blocked up.

that was the first thing I thought of when I saw him stick that piece of pipe in there if there's more than water coming through there that's going to cause a problem and then they might have to tear the wall out if they can't get under the house to it not a good way to do plumbing
@trevor5379
Жыл бұрын
With the orientation of the pipe and the wall, the only thing i could think is it's for a sump pump discharge. Otherwise why is there pipe outside where you can hear cars? And it's 1.5". So that limits your uses as well

Ingenious, and masterful work! But I must also mention, that brick mortar finish was quite the opposite! 🖖🤣
That pipe is cheap and thin no wonder it breaks. We have schedule 40 in the states and we also have bits to drill pipe out of the fittings. However I give this man credit for his intuitive skills.
Not a plumber here, but find these videos very interesting! I would be stumped by lots of pvc repairs.

I'm not even a plumber, I'm an engineer in IT, and even I see this will lead to choking and blockage.
The connection inside the wall is unprofessional! Reverse encapsulation, as a result of which clogging may occur.

That’s pretty impressive
Wouldn't it be better to clear the whole pipe from the wall and insert a new straight piece through to the other side in the basement? Wouldn't inserting the pipe like that cause buildup at the lip eventually in an outgoing flow?
