I love this comparison video! Thank you so much for showing your hack for the strap over the metal plate. This helps a lot in my hometown to keep it less flashy. I found the trendy CC at Hawaii boutique and it felt way more like a mini purse than wallet. I LOVE the turn key feature. Also love that it has the metal grommet and it looks so cute double strapped.

I just love the turn lock on the Trendy CC Wallet on Chain, it is a bit more expense and you get what you paid for. Also the Trendy CC WOC feel more like a small Chanel classic and you get to safe more. I bought both of the WOC after watching your vedio❤

The turn lock closure certainly makes a difference. I have the Chanel trendy but in the mini size. I don't have the sticker on the plate anymore but it hasn't scratched and I bought it pre loved but it was from the 2020 collection :)

Yes my brand new WOC also puckering up as well, but not the Trendy CC. I have the Classic WOC in the same colour as yours and the Trendy CC WOC in a fuchsia pink. Love the Trendy CC WOC and they both are more favourite collections

Thank you for the video. I walked into the store a couple of days ago in SoCal and bought the trendy cc. Funny thing is I didn’t even want it nor was thrilled about it because of the gold plate on top. The sales person pushed for the sale and my husband was happy to pay and get out of the mall. I think I was bored or hungry . Lol After watching this great video I think I liked the purse now. ❤

Thanks for this review and comparison Ashleigh! I have a vintage Chanel lamb woc/evening bag (no card slots) which is gorgeous! However it also does the weird front corners turning up a bit. I think it’s because we have to pull on the front part to open up the bag and I think you have to pull kind of hard. I have been considering the woc for so long but it’s so small so I tried it out recently. The new magnetic closure pops open so easily so the new ones are out. I want one with some kind of clasp or turn lock closure because I want to be able to put a lot in it or I wont use it. This was a great comparison. Happy new year!

They are both beautiful but my vote would be for the caviar woc but I would love the trendy cc in gold / caviar . Thanks for sharing.

I got the Trendy CC WOC in 2018, specifically because it had the turn lock. It was a great alternative to the mini. When I bought mines it was $2500. It has age beautifully. I haven’t got much scratches on the top plate, but the turn lock has scratched significantly.

I have the same problem with the Classic WOC. I found the situation improved if I don’t put anything thick or anything at the back pocket, and don’t pull the flap on the side while open it.

I have the new classic WOC with the new magnetic closure and it’s definitely easier to open and close so they have improved the design. The Trendy WOC looks lovely - I am torn between that and the Trendy CC bag - great to know the wear and tear on the WOC isn’t too bad though thanks. I’m also tempted by a beautiful Tiffany blue WOC in the store near me at the moment and it makes me think of you 🥰😂

I love both.. I have found the lambskin having mark/dents longer term. So the caviar is definitely better long term. However, I love the Cc turn lock for ease of use. I can’t do without the Mona Lisa pocket, I keep my travel card there and I don’t have to open the bag every minute. So..pro’s and con’s for both. Great vid. 😻

How much is the trendy now?

The new woc has magnetic closure, not the old snap ones any more. And the rising of the flap on your woc is because the way how you open it. If you put your finger right below the snap closure when you try to open it, it should not cause the rising.

It seems the caviar woc on the left side flap is puckering up, could be related to how you open the bag and handle the bag because it’s caviar ( less worrisome). Seen at 10:35 mins into the video, you open the caviar woc by pulling up on that left side compared to the trendy cc woc, which you opened from the middle of the flap, where the turn lock is. Maybe you can try flexing the flap softly inwards, when it’s open to reduce the puckering.

I don’t have the woc (currently trying to find it in store haha) but I believe the front flap rising cause of the button closure. I had the Victorine wallet from LV and I noticed the flap becoming raised at the two corners cause how I was opening the wallet not right at the button. It freaked me out how fast it was happening so I quickly sold it haha. I’m hoping the new woc with the magnetic closure stops it from happening. But you definitely gave me some thought about the trendy woc.

I’ve been wanting to buy this WOC trendy for a while, if anyone is selling theirs please message me.

I got the trendy cc WOC this month. I can’t fit all that. I think it makes a diff that your phone was just the case and card holder was empty. I literally can fit my cards in the slots, sanitizer, phone, and key holder. If I use a card wallet I have to decide between key holder being out….

Be careful with keeping stickers on. I heard that it can cause oxidation and uneven aging. Especially with humidity.
