After watching your video, I bought my first Chanel bag - classic jumbo in gold hardware caviar leather . Absolutely love it . :)

I bought my first classic jumbo in caviar black with silver hardware - I paid $6200 with tax, but I thought if I procrastinate it'll eventually hit $10000! I'm extremely excited and happy with my purchase so much so that I had to walk out of the boutique with the bag on my shoulder!!!

By the time I can afford a Chanel it'll be Hermes prices! 😔

I thought the same and then I checked vestiaire collectiv, got a vintage Chanel for a really good price and an even better condition. My bag is 25 years old and in immaculate condition. I have also gotten it authenticated so I will definitely recommend that website

This review was very informative, and I love how you do this as a 5 year update to truly show how it holds over the years. I have the Chanel perfect edge flap bag in calf leather which is more fragile and I don't wear It as often as I'd like (only on weekends and not in harsh environments obviously). I'll probably consider a caviar leather in the future. Excellent review!! 😍

Just found this video! i am planning to buy this tomorrow but with the silver hardware. I went in a large dept store that has a chanel boutique and i fell in love with it. I was debating the silver versus gold but I think maybe the silver for me is better. the gold is gorgeous though. xx

i’ve been on a marathon of watching your videos because they’re just so good and informative! i recently just purchased a jumbo classic flap (i bought it at the boutique in southeast asia) and i do have one question: is there a difference between the bags that were made in France and made in Italy? mine says that it’s made in Italy, and some people say they prefer the French-made ones, but i really don’t see any difference. my caviar leather is still as fresh as any other chanel bags with caviar. is yours made in France? i’d like to know what you think about it. 😊♥️

+Lauren Sharpe planning on doing a comparison between the jumbo and m/l next. The old medium is very similar in size to the m/l in terms of how it looks on the body (but it can fit a bit more). I'm not a huge fan of the m/l as I find the size a bit small and for the price, I think the mini (which isn't that much smaller) is better value for money. I would personally go for the Boy :)

I always thought I'd go for the classics first then the boys but I tried on a boy in Harrods not long ago and fell in love, and had a hard time choosing between the jumbo and the boy. They really are stunning especially in real life. I'm definitely leaning towards the boy. Although I've got a feeling there will be a price increase soon, as the classics haven't increased since 2014 I think :( Thanks for the advice. Love your Channel xo

However, Ally Valentine says the opposite on her Chanel. Could you take a look at her Chanel and just let me know your thoughts. I want to get one in a week or two

+jen han Honestly I have no idea. This was the first time I saw it! The other corners didn't really have any wear so it was just that one. I assume from just sitting up and occasionally rubbing against things!? It's not really visible when looking at it normally which is how it escaped my notice for so long!

+Li Ma The maxi is a little bigger, not hugely though. I just felt the jumbo looked better on me (plus I wanted to switch from the lambskin to the caviar!).

brilliant video and thank you for a wonderful update. I have one also. The wear and tear on the corner of yours, does it bother you? It is bound to get worse dont you think??? What would chanel do about it. It is likely that you will get it reparied. I also have the smaller one, and mine is ten years old. It has a crease forming in the side gusset, which I am planning on showing them, the next time I am in London.

+Jill Jackson Not really tbh, I only noticed it when doing my inspection of the bag for this video! It's not visible from general use which is how I never noticed it before. It's only really the one corner and it doesn't bother me enough to get it repaired. The overall look is pretty great which matters to me more! :)

+Saerllo Lolo From what I can remember, there wasn't a huge amount of difference in size but then it was 5 years ago, so don't quote me on that! If a maxi suits you better, I would 100% get that. My tastes change fairly frequently so your daughter may end up preferring the maxi too! Plus Chanel flaps seem to hold their value amazingly well so it's a fairly safe risk :)

My preference would always be the jumbo - I find the medium can't fit very much and is way too expensive for what it is (although I guess the same could be said of all Chanel bags haha). Lots of people love the medium but for me, it's all about the jumbo :)

Most jumbos are made in Italy whereas medium/large sizes are made in France. Have both and SA told me that. Don't know why but there is no difference really. Hope it helps..:-)

Trace Trace it’s true. That’s why Amie has a shinier bag, and hers is in better quality and condition than today’s or recent Classic Flap bags

Omg it’s like clown car. So spacious. My dream is to own a Chanel boy bag, no minis, the full size 😅. One day. Good reminder to have though: money in the market will probably mean more than money on a purse... or at least that’s what I try to tell myself 😭😭😭
