I still buy Chanel for the simple reason that I love Chanel aesthetic , and I never had any quality issues with any of my bag. I don’t buy classic flaps anymore because of the price ( I totally would otherwise 😂) but I did recently buy a mini rectangular that are still worth it in my opinion. I own over 10 Hermès bags, yes the quality is the best but it’s just so very different than Chanel. I have a soft spot for both brands in my ❤. What I really don’t like is vintage Chanel look. It’s just not my thing and it’s a very unpopular opinion at the moment.😂 I buy what I love and what makes my heart sings.

The new quality enrages me lol 😂 A bag I wore 4 times looks older than my vintage flaps from the 80’s Also, everyone complains about their costume jewelry, yet, the high end jewelry isn’t much better. My friends keep loosing stones from their brooches and necklaces the same way...

Same here, love the design but cannot justify bad quality for current price. I’m also thinking about a vintage one :) Thanks for sharing your experience!

No, I wouldn’t buy new Chanel bags and for the same reasons you mentioned. I’m interested in pre-loved. I just don’t really know where to go. Any suggestions on this? A new video on how to best source vintage pieces, perhaps?

I am so glad to find this video, as I am a vintage CF lover myself. Love love vintage Chanel CFs, for their beautiful gold alloy plated hardwares, shiny, soft yet robust lambskin. Not interested at the new ones. Somehow, I just don’t see the quality that’s worth the money. 😂

I still buy Chanel and love the style ( aesthetics ). In the 18 years buying from Chanel, I have never had any issues, thanks god. Respect your opinion though I just never had issues with my items TG 🙏🏻 . The only thing I disagree with you is the Hermes perfection, I didn’t see perfection on my B30 black but to me that was not a big deal. As per Hermes fixing and “jumping through the hoops” it’s not always the case, just like Chanel, they would only do it for the most value clients, and most of the times, you have to pay. To me paying for a repair is not a big deal, we own these bags and want to keep in a good condition while enjoying them and loving them 😊
