CHANEL 24S Medium Classic Flap - getting my dream bag before the price increase!

SOOOOOO. surprisingly this video is shorter than my usual but that's because I didn't get as much footage inside the store as I wanted LOL. dang security guard got mad at me lol. Anyways....
So I'm doing uploading things a little out of order, but to explain in context I went to my usual SA in Neiman's chanel and they didn't have stock of the classic flap in beige that I wanted but my friend had gone to a boutique in a different city and checked out their stock for me. She got a new SA's number and they had such good stock and variety of goods she took lots of pics for me and told me which one was best and reserved it for me (put it on hold and gave my name). I immediately reached out to the SA and informed him I was coming the next day. They had also confirmed with me at the time that the price increase was for sure happening in a couple days and so it was really good luck !
When I got there, luckily I got in before a rush because my husband who stayed in the parking lot told me that 20 minutes after I went in, a line started to form outside!
So I initially was kind of on the fence between small and medium but ultimately felt like majority of my bags can't fit that much and so a medium was needed in my life LOL. also since I have so much black bags, beige was the perfect one to go with. I also knew that because of my lifestyle and just how I am as a person and for what I'll be using the bag for, I needed the worry free caviar texture leather. The only question remained was gold or silver hardware?? Both were beautiful but gave different vibes !
I definitely chose the one for me and am really happy with what I got :) Also super super super ecstatic that the bag was perfect and didn't have any visible defects!
Definitely wild that 3 days after my purchase, the price definitely increased so I'm just really glad I finally got it since I've already been regretting not getting it years prior lol. These price increases just keep getting worse and I don't think they're going to stop anytime soon!

Thank you!!! I feel like I’m done now haha I wish I got it sooner since these prices are so ridiculous. It’s mind blowing thinking about how the price compares to 2018 but hey better now than In 10 years. Lol ! The new location is soooo beautiful!! Let me know how it goes when you visit!
My mom bought one kkuwan and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
I originally wanted the Chanel classic flap in black caviar, but I was worried that it would age me cause it seems like an old people bag😅would beige be more youthful looking?

If you love the black you should definitely get it !!! I think if anything the black is super versatile whereas the beige is a little bit more sophisticated and can look a little older. I’m an old lady myself so I felt the need for a beige in my collection!!

@@NurseKirsten medium! Im 175cm so i feel like the small would look tinyyy on me🤣 i tend to carry a lot in my purses as well. How are you finding your beige? Is the colour hard to style and is it a size that can transition from day to night? Looks so elegant 😍

Which one did you end up taking home with? And i think at this price point it’s a lot better to purchase preloved that’s brand new than buying from the boutique. I source bags from time to time whenever my friends need it.

I got the medium beige with gold hardware ! Yeah the price is now crazy!!! It was mind blowing I’m just glad that I finally bought it once and for all cuz I’ve been wanting it for forever and the price won’t ever go down. I just have OCD in general and always buy boutique for myself but I agree that with the price there’s so many on the resale market that’s cheaper and some still brand new :)

@@NurseKirsten that’s a good choice. I just sourced a brand new 2023 beige ghw for $8800 for myself. Unfortunately it’s a bit big for me but i was able to sell it to someone else. I ended up getting the small one for a really good price as well. It’s really hard to justify buying anything from the boutique these days for me cause of the crappy resell value :( anything before 2019 still has great resell value. After that year, chanel resellers are taking a loss now.

@@justaregularperson8319 yeah I think chanel is really trying to be more exclusive and weed out more customers by making their prices higher and higher it’s awful! I do think the medium is def big im kinda wanting to get a small now but black haha!

@@NurseKirsten they’re reaching hermes status without the hermes quality, unfortunately. I still don’t think their bags are worth the current price but i do LOVE their designs. I’ve never found hermes bags attractive to me so i’ll continue to buy chanel. I have the medium in black lol for some reasons medium in black looks amazing on me but with lighter colors i prefer the smaller size

I’ve wanted to get into Hermes but ugh I just really don’t like the designs and it doesn’t make my heart sing like chanel designs do so I really know I’m a chanel girl at heart but the quality is not up to par for sure … I wish they would get better quality control
