I’m trying to think of others she’d be great at. heck, I’d want terrell to be in a musical. if they revived Annie, but they did a little of both, the original musical, and the 82 movie, I can see her in 2 roles. Ms. Hannigan, although her personality ain’t that way, but just her and terrell as Mr. Warbucks with sign would be funny, but also as the Mrs would be good, just to hear her in things like I think I’m gonna like it here, or NYC would be the business.

@@itsmallory3416 now IDK if they’d go along with it, but something like a hybrid musical/concert on broadway would be good, I was thinking like a show and concert focusing on like the gospel greats of all time, so more like 60’s and 70’s to about early 2k, she’s got plenty of options there. like, maybe playing Lady Tremaine Hawkins for Walter Hawkins and crew, maybe one of the clark sisters, with one of terrell’s younger guests being Kierra and Dorinda’s Daughter, cause her daughter can go off. like, she’s got the options if that could be a show.

When she said “I made it” during Madea’s Big Happy Family Play, it was the first time I ever cried during a Tyler Perry play. She’s right, as a young girl, all I felt about death was fear but she instilled a different point of view of Heaven for me in that movie.

The first time I seen Chandra live was in Madea’s Big Happy Family. I was about 10 or 11, maybe 12. When she sang after she crossed over in the play, my entire section was crying. I was crying. But recently, my grandmother passed away in 2021 and we found a letter that she basically wrote for whenever she passes away and it literally said “don’t cry for me, don’t she’d a tear” and that song that Chandra sang as Shirley in that play immediately popped into my mind and I just broke down. My grandmother was actually at that play with me. But that song, and knowing that my grandmother really did make it there helped me process everything way better than I thought I would. I actually haven’t watched that play since my grandmother passed but I think I will this weekend. 💜

I cried on that play as well. That is the last play mom saw with us during Thanksgiving 2010. My mom passed 2 days before Christmas

Terrell is pure Black Boy Joy!!! The way he pours life and love into every guest is so beautiful. I pray he receives all his flowers as well.

This is so soothing. My childhood. She doesn’t even realize the depth of how she has touched my heart over the years and in this episode. ❤️ You can feel her connection to the Lord and that’s what we need ❤️

I couldnt click this video fas enough.... first encounter was watching bootleg tyler plays.... the looks she gives, her eye focus, the dip of her head, her eyes and body movements..... YOU FEEL IT ALL and BELIEVE IT... because she actually feels and believes every word she states and sings....love her....she is one i would rewind it bout 3, 4 times before i could finish watching the rest of the play...the other was the short haired lady (crissy collins) in the jail scene when she sang while passing out blessings please let some drops fall on me... i ball my eyes out til this day on them scenes...there is NO ONE like her..period

She has the voice that makes EVERYTHING better. No matter what she sings

To know that "I made it" moment was improvised speaks volumes to Chandra's theater background. And, her connection with human beings!

She’s definitely TOP TIER when it came to the plays, one of my favorites from all the people who worked with Tyler Perry. ICONIC

The messages in these Tyler Perry plays were so impacting.... they've saved my life when I was in a dark place and time. Thank you to all the actors, the beautiful musical renditions that brought me to tears and lifted my spirit. Ms. Chandra..... your beautiful, powerful voice and the roles you played moved my spirit, had me doing the holy shake lol....God's continuous blessings to you in your endeavours ❤🎉🎉

When she sung and said, “it LOOKED like sun wasn’t gonna shine anymore…” I was done!!!!🥰🥰🥰 She is blessed so blessed. I love her!!!❤

To hear her say she has problems being told “you’re too soulful” speaks to me. People don’t sing anymore with soul especially at my young age of 22, so this just inspired me even more. If breaks your heart hearing someone tell you that when that’s all you got.

I watched this play as my mom was passing to give me the strength to get through it. A couple of days after she died the tv cut on out of nowhere and started playing the seen heaven waits for me. I knew that was her way of letting me know she was ok

The way she tells a story with her voice is beautiful and strong. It fills up spaces with so much power! I’m so glad Terrell just knows. He really just knows what voices are needed to be shown and displayed.
