This did NOT work. The Chana dal after air fryer was very very hard to eat. I ended up throwing it all away. I think it needs to be cooked slightly before drying and airfrying.

Dis you soaked Chana dal in baking soda ?i got the perfect result every time I made this.

@@NidhisCreativeZone thank you for getting back. No. I soaked overnight in normal water. May be I will try airfrying for lesser time. But I kept testing inbetween. Didn't seem to make a difference.

I suggest watch the video without skipping and then try . You definitely get perfect result
