Challenge Of The Missionaries - Sheikh Ahmed Deedat

Challenge Of The Missionaries - Sheikh Ahmed Deedat
This lecture was delivered in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates on 3rd June, 1992.
Sheikh Ahmed Deedat:
In 1986, the King Faisal Foundation awarded the King Faisal International Prize for SERVICE TO ISLAM, to a South African who is more or better known than many dignitaries in their own countries. This was the first time that this prestigious award has been awarded to a South African. The recipient of this award was a man totally dedicated to his faith and its propagation and who was not afraid to challenge any one to a debate to settle once and for all the matter, who has the good news right? He was none other than Sheikh Ahmed Deedat, reverently known and called UNCLE by those who hold him in high esteem and admiration.
The award came after a lifetime of struggle to propagate Islam and to defend Islam against the onslaught of the missionaries. Finally, he was given recognition by the international Muslim community that he deserved and focused more sharply the attention of the Muslim world on the most important aspect of his work, the challenge to propagate Islam. This was his life long ambition to focus the Muslim world's attention and resources on the propagation of Islam, and at last he succeeded. What a moment of jubilation, achievement and personal gratification for Sheikh Deedat the award was, a turning point in his life.
Sheikh Deedat did not have much formal schooling, but he was self-taught through experience and a penchant for reading, debating, discussion, and a profound sense of commitment to a mission and goal. He was driven and goal oriented. He was focused and never let up until the job was done. He was sharp, perceptive, forthright, fiery, and daring in his challenge of those whom he debated, particularly against those who equal his missionary zeal and sense of audacity. Formal schooling did not destroy his creative prowess, his tenacity, ambition, drive, and sheer daring to swim upstream.
Sheikh Deedat was more a scholar of the Bible than the Qur'an, and was more familiar and adroit with its teachings. He had an insight and perspective of the Bible which made many Christians he came into contact with rethink and re-examine their faith, particularly those aspects of the Bible and the Qur'an that deal with the divine mission and life of Prophet Jesus.
On May 3, 1996, Sheikh Ahmed Deedat suffered a stroke which left him paralyzed from the neck down, and also meant that he could no longer speak or swallow. He was flown to a hospital in Riyadh, where he was taught to communicate through a series of eye-movements. He spent the last nine years of his life in a bed in his home in Verulam, South Africa, encouraging people to engage in da'wah. He continued to receive hundreds of letters of support from around the world. During these years, rumors spread throughout the Internet that he was already dead, and even some websites that contained his pamphlets mentioned as early as 2002 that he was dead.
On August 8, 2005, Ahmed Deedat finally succumbed to his prolonged illness and died at his home in Trevennen Road, Verulam in the province of KwaZulu Natal.

Since the Sheikh's lectures, Prof Bart Ehrman has demolished the mumbo-jumbo rubbish the Christians have made of Allah's true message, proving what the Sheikh researched and taught all his life.

you just lied just like this Muslim apologist. They don't know the word of God well. They all asked the same dumb question. They asked where in the the bible jesus said i am God and worship me. Johovah God the father called jesus his son God. Hebrews Chapter I verse 8. Demons called jesus son of the most high. Prophet Isaiah prophesied of the coming of Jesus in Isaiah 9. 6 and called him a mighty God. So you have all this evidences showing that jesus is the son of God and God in flesh and yet this dumb muslim apologist are blind that they cant see the truth. You need to learn the word of God before you say something that is not true.

The Christians used to say " God, the Father, god the son and the Holy ghost - are not three, but one". Now, 'tsimahei' has commented - "Great is the God of my fathers, Yahweh who is Jesus Who is Lord." So, Jesus is Yahweh ! He ( I mean 'tsimahei' ) believes that Jesus is coming again with the sword to destroy their enemy. Muslim also believe that Jesus will come again. But, it appears to me that 'tsimahei, has not read the Bible properly, otherwise he must have known, what Jesus will say on that day (The Judgement Day ), when many will come to Jesus saying ' Lord, Lord, didn't we cast out devils and do many mighty works in thy name ? " Jesus will say " Ye men of inequity, depart from me, I don't even know you." Whom Jesus will say that ? Think man, think and find out the truth.

Don't forget, 'All that glitters is not gold'. Outwardly Christians seem to be happy, in fact they are really unhappy. They have no peace at all for they have no system in their family life, social life, individual life. They know that their religious ground is very feeble. They are suffering indecision as to what to do, which way to take, etc. Alhamdulillah, we, Muslims are quite happy with our religion Islam as we are and we give priority to the reality of the next world compared to this world.

Jesus said you dont get into heaven by good works. Looked at the thief at the cross, he was a muder but. yet he believed in jesus. and jesus said today you will be with me in paradise. so the only way you will inter heaven is if jesus is your lord and savior and believe in him.

4:90, the very next verse, says, " Except for those who take refuge with a people between yourselves and whom is a treaty or those who come to you, their hearts strained at [the prospect of] fighting you or fighting their own people. And if Allah had willed, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you. So if they remove themselves from you and do not fight you and offer you peace, then Allah has not made for you a cause [for fighting] against them."

The Bible was originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. The Bibles we use today are translations from the original languages into English (or other languages). Jesus most likely taught in Aramaic (probably also knew Hebrew and Greek) so that the Greek NT itself represents a translation of Jesus teaching from the Aramaic into Greek. The history of the English Bible satisfactorily demonstrates that the Bible of today does indeed faithfully represent Scriptures in their original languages.

The twentieth century has given rise to a number of new translations. The updating and production of new translations were necessitated by new ms. discoveries, changes in the English language, and the advancement of linguistics. Today, when someone opens any English Bible (NKJV, NASB, NIV, ESV, TNIV, HCSB), he or she may know that generations of faithful scholarship have managed to preserve and protect that Bible as it was originally given.

That is what you call consistency in teachings by Moses, Jesus and Mohammad. No deviation, No corruption, No addition, No concoction and NO twisting of words. VERY CONSISTENT. These are revealed religions. Worship only one true God and do not associate God with any partners. If any of them deviate from this key words than that religion is corrupted by the SATAN and not relevant anymore.

We can see from the context that Proverbs 5:15 does not urge us to drink urine, but rather to drink from our “own well”, which is the husband or wife God gives you or will give you in the future. It also is a reminder that God knows everything you do. There is a coming Judgement. I’d recommend going and read about how to have peace and life with God.

"How long is the day and night in countries near the North and South Poles?" As we get closer to the North or South Pole, the day or night might extend for up to several months each. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.

In my Opinion about fasting in pole. human are obligate to fast as maximum as 16 hours a day. but in minimum is like 13 hours, just like when we breakfast in the morning is usually at 7:00 or 8:00 after we take dinner on 17:30 - 18:00. so if a person would like to fast in the pole they can measure that timing, the term of before dawn till dusk is just figurative timing well after all the Arabs that day were so country boy compared to the Greeks, they knew nothing of timing, the pray also started to make people to realize timing, constantly reminding to our self about what time is now, they know only about wealth and a very good trader. so the timing of from dawn till dusk is to figuratively said about timing of how long to fast.

It is generally agreed that Jesus and his disciples primarily spoke Aramaic, the common language of Palestine in the first century AD, most likely a Galilean dialect distinguishable from that of Jerusalem.[1] Most of the apostles from the Galilee region also spoke Aramaic and the towns of Nazareth and Capernaum in Galilee, where Jesus lived, were primarily Aramaic-speaking communities. (taken from Aramaic of Jesus)

On May 3, 1996, Sheikh Ahmed Deedat suffered a stroke which left him paralyzed from the neck down, and also meant that he could no longer speak or swallow. No bad intentions, but want to ask you, is this the gift that one receives of being a humble severvant of Allah.. What is the ulitmate AIM of being a Muslim.. ? How you you co-relate with your Allah ? Later lets talk the talk toward your Adam and Eve, if you don't mind.. Only then. Bless you

ucanrunbutcanthide, What is it that you want to know ... about Islam? Seems as if no muslim wants to have a direct discussion with me on Islam. I ask them a simple question & they run to hide. The question? IF ... ALLAH never appeared to anybody in the quran then how does any muslim know ALLAH is real? 1) If ALLAH is NOT real, then who wrote ALLAH's words(dialogues) in the quran? 2) If ALLAH is not real, then why did islam lie about the Holy Trinity in the bible? You see, islam says the Holy trinity does NOT exist ... YET(!) ... each one(Father, Son & Holy Ghost) have appeared separately to man in the bible! 3) Christians do NOT share: God(s), prophets, Jesus, Heaven or the Pentateuch with Islam. Ask your question, plz

Alhamdulillah brother, if u want to learn islam in more detail and in proper way, commenting in random youtube vids and get random reply from random people won't helping you much. I could only advise you to go to knowledgeable people and do your own research. If your intention are true, inshaallah, Allah will guide you.

You could ask the same for the Qu'ran, which version. The one from Ibn Masud - 111 chapters? The one from Uthman - 114 chapters? The one from Ubay Ibn Kaab - 116 chapters? Why is the stoning verse missing - Sahih Bukhari Volume 8 Book 82 Number 816? Why is a whole chapter the length of chapter 9 missing - Sahih Muslim No. 2286? Why does Sana'a have a different chronology to Uthman and additional verses? And so on

The doctrine of the Trinity says that God is three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Athanasian Creed says "we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity." The Trinity of God refers to him being three in one. God is understood to be a unity of Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. A famous verse used to support this is the Comma Johanneum in 1 John 5:7, which says "there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one". Rejected.
