Why are the backing singers singing a majority of the song and Chaka just ad libbing 🤷🏽♂️??

@spiritofzen I will tell you like my sister told me. Chaka is old now late 60's at the time of the above video. She's been touring for 50 years that's a lot of wear and tear on the body not to mention her voice so that's why sometimes she let the background singers take over.
