    Thank you for all your videos. We could learn a lot from them. Would you please share a video introducing all the different parts in two stroke engine with their functions, please. Novice like me would be so beneficial from such videos.

    Seems to hit every detail. Love the white shirt. But the saw is cleaner than his shirt. I want mine to look like that when I start turning screws ;-)

    With the liquid gasket you generally want to tighten the bolts down just before they are snug and then allow the gasket compound to set. This will it allow the gasket to be created rather than pushed out of the mating surface. Follow the instructions on the gasket compound it should say this. Otherwise you will barely have a gasket and most of the compound will get pushed out.

    Exactly!!! but few are able to gauge the right thickness... you need a very special feel...i use a DIFFERENT sealer for rectified surfaces,NEVER silicone; it's more ,fluid, more liquid,and has some sort of glue in it; it«s also expensive,but very little is needed each time; i work in cars,boats and bikes;

    fantastic demo. I have a Florabest 2014 which is the exact same and I cannot get it to start. I have a spark, am getting fuel and now feel the next step is the compression. Any ideas where I will get engine gaskets and piston ring would be really appreciated. Or am I jumping to conclusions about the piston rings. If I have a spark and am getting a wet look inside the cylinder when I take the spark plug out, I am thinking now that it has to be a compression problem. When I lift the machine with the starter cord, with the spark plug in and tight, the cord unfurls and I would have thought that the compression would have allowed me to lift the engine without the cord unfurling. Any suggestions as to what might be wrong with my chainsaw???

    You're right, it would be a bit different changing out a piston ring on a saw that's been used for a while! We opted for a newer machine with fewer hours on it, so our viewers who may be a little bit less experienced can clearly see where each part is located, and how to change it out properly! Thanks for the comment and for watching the video!

    looks like they changed the con rod from a punched steel A shaped one to a forged steel one, wish they would change the seal design to just a lip seal instead of the ones that go around the bearing, they always deform from heat

    I'm new to this, but I noticed you didn't show how you compressed the piston rings, first, before sliding the piston back into the cylinder. How did you accomplish this? Is there a special chain saw motor ring compressor tool, perhaps? I'm having the dickens trying to get the piston and ring back into the cylinder of my partially disassembled Poulan Pro 260. Any good tips on how to do this? Also, I noticed some black steel struts of some kind that came out of the motor when you were pulling the head, but you didn't say what they were, and you didn't show them being reinstalled when putting the motor back together. What were they, please? Thanks.

    I have a 2017 Poulan Pro pr5020 ... after about six hours of use it started giving me problems piston ring got stuck in its Groove due to carbon buildup .. I'll never buy another Poulan again .. have had it apart couple of times now ... new piston ring took care of the initial problem .. just finicky things these green saws... anyway, got in touch with Husqvarna torque specifications on those crankcase / frame bolts .. for my 50cc engine is 7 1/2 to 8 and 1/2 foot pounds ... then heat cycle the engine and recheck ... that's what Husqvarna says about those bolts... 🤔

    Why do all these reassembly videos fail to show how the transfer insets are replaced prior to (or after), the piston is installed. These inserts are unique to Husqvarna/Poulan chainsaws and can be inserted incorrectly. They are rarely mentioned in any of these rebuild videos, but are very important.

    Great video but one problem, you should have used a dirty, crusty, used up unit and made the presentation much more realistic and talk about common tricks to deal with the problems on your way to replacing the piston. Very informative just the same.

    It brand new saw. In reality I would need more parts that a new saw cost. When ring goes it melts the piston with die diecast cycle header that would need be repace it just about impossible to piston off the rod because that melted. Don't count seeals holding up. My coil seem to be crack.

    These were poulan's last gasp before husqvarna bought em. Even though there are plastic childrens' toys, I still see quite a few in the shop for fuel system overhauls. The next version of these saws were one of the worst pieces shit I've ever had the dismay to encounter! My record was about 45 minutes from pressure washing it to the final top cover screw, then let the dirko dry. Seems the one in the video has scored itself without ever cutting a thing. Sounds about right...
