I have the same saw. Try reading the starting procedure on the body. It tells you to hold the throttle.

Hold the throttle trigger while starting.

Good show! Question: what cleaning fluid did you use for the tank dip? frequency,? duration? Did you use the old gaskets and diaphragm? Thanks!

I use simple green. Soaking just depends on how dirty it is. I typically try to use new gaskets unless they come off with no issues.

I have this same saw I’m fixing up. For the life of me I just can’t get it to idle. What do you have your L & H adjustment screws set at?

I found a poulan 2000 in the top of my garage today.

Set like a week lol What about setting for 13 years ?

What year is this model?

My saw looks exactly like that one. Problem with mine is the kill switch doesn't work. I have to use the choke to shut the engine off..

Any tips on replacing the fuel line?

Cut a slight bevel on the fuel line end that is getting replaced. There are different setups and sizes so make sure you get the correct size line. Most automotive places sell fuel line for small engines.

Try out ebay. Seems like that has all sorts of carbs available

I have the same saw! It won't start it has sat awhile. Cleaned it up got a new plug, and new fuel line and filter but have not installed it just yet wanted to see this video! Thanks for the tutorial I will try to get it running! I love that saw! Great yard tool for cleaning up tree limbs and fallen trees!

Turn the idle screw adjustment up , no way should you be jerking on it that much and not getting results , also check side to side wear on crank bearings "" both sides , flywheel and drive sprocket side , check ignition is it firing the spark plug with adequate spark ??

Any idea what the H and L should be set at? Loaned mine out and it came back not running and he said he tried to adjust the H and L and I think he screwed it up…

Turn them all the way closed and then back out 2 rotations. It is a good sarting point from experience.

on this chainsaw with Carburetor WT 20 Walbro it is seat them closed then back out 1 1/4 turns
