Beautiful video, I am in second year of Mechanical engineering and I've been struggling with fully understanding how the chain rule worked since high school (although i knew how to get answers just be differentiating the outside x the differentiating the inside). But this video helped me fully understand why and how that worked, since I never substituted u independently before this video. Thanks again.

@@jonahemmanuelofficial it’s the way you are writing your words. I’m assuming you were taught to write this way, but maybe it’s not referred to as cursive to you. In the US when you are taught to write in two ways… you either write in print or cursive.

A curve C has the equation y=4x²Ln (3x-1).show thar the value of d²y/dx² at the point where x=1 is 15 +8Ln2.

technically y=x² can still have the chain rule applied to it it's just that u here is x², and so is u¹, so deriving it would be 1×u⁰=1, leaving us with just 1× du/dx which is 2x
