They need to use their phone to call members, family, or staff, they need their phones to practice, whether it be recording dance practices for revision or whatever, and its just convenient. I dont think they just sit around all day on their phones. You might, but not them, which is why their answer is completely understandable.

Yunjin explain clearly, regarding their situation as le sserafim members, when they're on project, they spend their time in practice room or lounge for a weeks and hybe agency provide/take care everything include foods. So, in their case they getting used to not spend their own money in a week due to busy schedule.

chaewon is such a good leader

With money, Chaewon can buy a laptop or computer to communicate with others, since it’s still not a phone. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Its the less logical actually, its Just for a week, u can buy everything u Need before, and you can go on for that week without even noticing the difference, if u give up the phone instead there Is no way for you to go on as nothing has changed, even if u replace It with a tablet or a laptop you Will notice a difference in you lifestyle 🤓

Their reason for choosing phone: till now the manager bought them food anyway. So they dont really need money since they can ask the manager. While chaewon think that asking someone else is prohibited

live without phone for a week is possible.. i mean u can do things that need any electricity.. going to cafe, taking a walk in the park, going out and meeting real friends instead of social media... Chaewon made the right choice.

Both choices can be right, depends on how smart you plan to use your phones to work and communication to get your needs. For example a lot of successful rich people start from zero, and exchange value (work) for food and other needs in advance or money too - if the game rules allows. Or if chaewon chose money she plan to directly purchase all her emergency needs herself. It's not a wrong choice given the time frame is only 1 week. But for long term, quick communication responses like a kakaotalk is needed to ensure people's trusts and reach you. Because how much can humans really go without communicating quick these days especially for work. Once you have value, time is money.

the reason the members can live without money for a week. is their rents and food is paid for by the agency..and for them they thinking if i use my phone to order delivery and paid via phone..its not considered using "money" .. if the rule of no moneh extends to e-payment using Credit cards, then even if you stay at home for a week.. you will still need money for food.
