I saw his original video back in '07. I have to admit, I'm one of the the people who was mad at the video. Rewatching it now, though, its hilarious and so obviously fake that I can't help but wonder how I fell for it in the first place. Didn't realize how many quotes I used growing up that were inspired by Chad but I never saw his videos until just now Legend

I fucking loved this guy back in the day, watching the reactions from his videos was funny.

I feel like because youtube was so early, a lot of people were too close minded to realize trolling was a thing. I mean to this day people fall for phone scams which essentially are real world trolls.

If you went on games forums at the time, you'd see people who'd make Chad Warden-esque arguments. And popped collars were in kind of a weird zone of both fashionable and douchy. So he was believable at the time.

Trolling is essentially a household name these days... and man.. is it crazy how long that was not the case.. and how many people gleefully took advantage of that fact for years. My late best friend was by far the b/est troll I ever knew, so much so that to this day I’m still waiting for him to announce that he never really died and laugh at all of us, his family included.
