Dude the pianist is straight up a genius. Quotes chads riff in the first chorus and then uses work song later, and drops chords on some crazy rhythms. Fuckin heat

I noticed a couple things I’m gonna start implementing. He does a 2 5 1 in the 4th measure into the 4 chord, but he does a tritone sub on the 5, which is interesting

literally, insane! the only words I can describe this is "Modern Jazz Legend" You will be remembered! INSANE!!!
🔥🔥🔥 solos across the board!! Chad is a genius, especially for such a young age, and will very likely carry a new wave of jazz saxophonists like bird, Trane, and brecker did.

slammin' ! SO good Chad. Always melodic and soulful even when you "go out." I love that you always respect the song, make the songs important and put them first and then give them your treatment. As always your band is the best. Thx again

3:01 spicy ending, 1:02 cool blues lick?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Chad King of the side slip 😭🙌🏾 Also loved the nod to the old style of tenor playing towards the start of his solo and the Dexter style too. I think I heard half of “the lick” at 3:41 😏
I have to play this chart for my college audition, and I have to solo for 2-3 choruses after playing the head. Came to look for cool solo ideas, and as a trumpet player I'm left staring at my instrument longingly as I cry
This is killer

Takin it to a new level. Fresh....Chad what do you think about the old school tenor players, ?Jimmy Forrest in particular.

This is absolutely fire man, as a fellow Sax player you "blow me away" lmao. I was wondering though, as a big fan of Free Jazz (weird right?) I wanted to know your thoughts on the works of say, Albert Ayler, Cecil Taylor, Coleman and the rest of the cats. Thanks always for the great music!
Outstanding! Thank you for posting, Chad :-) Can you please do Nishi by Sonny Rollins? It's a bit of a more recent blues by Mr. Rollins, but has such a blistering head. You guys would absolutely murder it.
pure talent man. have you ever thought about “yes or no” by wayne shorter? he’s my favorite sax player and you remind me of him.
1:32 al lick from the Oleo video. 3:10 a lick from Joe Avery's Second Line.
I REALLY LOVE YOUR GUY’S SHIT. and at a time like this you all are bringing a whole lot of joy to everyone with your music. I get inspired by y’all literally everyday. 🙏
