The subtitles definitely helped since her loud ass voice was echoing through the room but despite that, very cool to have this opportunity. LD50 remains one of my favorite albums of all time. Just the musical side and how talented they are, THAT'S what made that album incredible to me.

I had the opportunity to meet Chad and Vin at a festival in Atlanta several years ago. I was with Morgan Rose (Sevendust) and we hung out in the bus area after the show. I’m talking with Jason Hook from FFDP and Chad jumped on my back. So I carried him around the parking lot for a bit. Had a few beers with him. Vin was cooking hamburgers for people on a grill outside their tour bus. Such a great bunch of guys. Very down to earth. It was a great night for sure. Very cool interview AJ.

I can still remember hearing LD50 for the first time and being blown away. My older brother bought the CD back when it came out and I listened to it over and over again. That album changed my life, and is still in my top 5 favorite albums of all time. They stopped touring before I could buy tickets myself, so I waited over twenty years to finally get to see them live and they played mostly LD50 songs. When the opening riff to Nothing To Gein flowed out of the stacks I. LOST. MY. SHIT. Goddamn, what a phenomenal show. Worth the wait.

Kinda surreal to see Chad like this…I didn’t grow up a Mudvayne fan or really know who they were until maybe 2006-2007. Chad lived in my town and married my buddies ex and all I knew was he was in a band. I met him not knowing who he was when I worked at costco in the electronics area. I got familliar with him as the dude that couldn’t understand why people bought such big TVs haha he use to stand there and chat and say, “why would you buy this monstrosity when you could paint or read, write or play with your kids!” Kinda ironic given his career is based on media exposure. One of the nicest most genuine people I’ve ever gotten to know. Everytime he came in he’d come over and say hello and chat. About a year later I finally put it together and razzed him a bit for being so “normal” in his free time. He said the art of face paint, masks and being a character is that people never really know if they’ve recognized you in person. He could shop, buy art easels for the kids, go to school functions and no one knew who he was. He liked being able to be an “artist” and entertain, while being a good dad and providing a regular life. I respect him and became a Mudvayne fan. Before they moved to Oregon he dropped off a few albums for me signed and one notation said, “thanks for the friendship, life is about relationships and honest connection, Chad!” Glad he found love again after the divorce and got the gang back together! Great interview, I appreciate your hard work making it! 👊🤘

NEW MUDVAYNE MUSIC...... And this interview gives me massive hope. Thanks A.J. this was very informative... a look behind the curtain so to say. I appreciate you buddy. 🤘STAY METAL EVERYONE 🤘

I’m glad mudvayne is back, I love the band. I loved HELLYEAH too and it was awful when Vinnie Paul passed. Metal lost a legend that day, not even talking about pantera days. It was his attitude and how he treated people even though he had a rough life. the emotion with mudvayne was insane it felt like every song wasn’t written but just bled out of chad and the other members, truly amazing work.

Hey man. This has to be one of the sickest videos on your channel. Some of the questions you asked Chad are things all Mudvayne fans in our age group have dreamed of saying and of course Chad always seems to understand us as listeners spot on. Fuckin metal Aj and congrats on all that you've created the House of Masks to be \m/

I love this interview, well done man. One of my favorite bands. There's actually only a handful of bands I listen to lol. I'm 37 now and most every band I listen to is from my teen years. I've actually been trying to be a bit more open minded but fuck man. I grew up with some great music

I tuned into this video after seeing Chad claiming you dissed his crew , wife , and himself. Couldn't find a single diss , besides pure honesty about the situation of the day. Your point on the difficulties of that day was proven as soon as the interview began and hearing his wife almost screaming over your guys. You're way more generous than I would've been , you get once in a lifetime for these opportunities , even if you weren't recording the interview and just talking with the guy , I would've been seething at barely hearing a single fucking word . Chad seems like such a kind and genuine dude , but he could have done WONDERS if he spoke up for you to quiet down the entire setting. Pretty bummed he would consider this a diss because as an audio/video geek myself , my "diss" would've been considering scrapping the whole video because of how problematic the production was , posting pictures of the meeting online and calling it a day. MAJOR kudos on the upload, explanation , and the subtitle work , saved it entirely man.

Yeah, I’m not going to lie, I’m extremely confused and disheartened by his comment. It just doesn’t make any sense. We were walked into that dressing room during her podcast, sure… but he could’ve easily walked us to another room, or asked her to wrap it up, or asked her to take it to another room, or had us come back at another time. I know any of those may be inconvenient for them, but we would’ve worked with them in any way we could have. It’s just strange that I only blame the venue staff for any wrong doing, but somehow he sees that as a job towards him, Shannon, or their crew. I definitely look at the guy a little different after that comment.

Hey AJ, this was an amazing interview with the one and only Kud. Mudvayne is my favorite band ever (SlipKnot is right next to them) and Chad is my favorite singer/musician. LD 50 is my favorite album. Also I got a new phone; it's a Samsung Galaxy S-22. :3
