I really thought Pryor’s closing argument would have been more persuasive. Ms. Blake knocked it out of the park though! I’m glad she did the rebuttal too. She deserves a RAISE!!

Ms. Blake has been the best. I’ve never heard of her before, but she was so incredibly effective. She was definitely the star in my opinion. I’m very surprised that Mr Pryor was actually professional throughout, sometimes jovial. Watch the prelim. Shocking difference. I see no actual or valid defense for this loser. Waste of taxpayers’ money.

Prior took daybell for a lot of money. Charging what he does, he almost stripped Daybells bank account. DEaybell could no longer afford him and the court would not let prior to stop defending him as the case would have taken even longer as another defender would have to haver gone through everything from the start and then more motions. Taxpayers money ended up paying for prior to defend him.

Not necessarily. The state provided video evidence of Lori driving around, stopping at a Burger King drive thru that morning with Tylee and JJ and then dropping JJ off at daycare while the murder was happening.

Daybell's moving to the right in a not-so-subtle way, crowding Pryor as if to threaten, who I believe is scared of being jumped. Early in the trial you could see Daybell sliding over and taking Pryor's pen. The guard came and lambasted Pryor, I presume for leaving a weapon on the desk.

If I were on the jury I would be so irritated by Priors closing…no duh it isn’t about his ‘beliefs’…🙄 It’s about the fact that they DID conspire in their own language to kill his wife and her kids. Gah. He is so condescending if not almost insulting…UGH, it wasn’t at all about espousing his religious beliefs. Give me a break…he used his religious beliefs in order to justify killing these ppl so he could have Lori.

💯 I didn’t like his snarky remark about the prosecutor taking too long to close and then says he is only taking a few minutes but goes on and on. Prior likes to blame the women in Chad Nuggets life for all his downfalls. It’s just not true, he was a lazy bum who manipulated everyone around him imo of course 😀. In a way he is this generations Manson but just isn’t a CIA informant.

I thought Pryor did a good job. He had an upward battle from the beginning. I kind of felt sorry for him...defending someone that I'm not convinced he thinks had nothing to do with the crime. He had no help as the state did...that's a lot of pressure. What I had seen of him before this trial... I didn't like his aggressive nature...but honestly he was respectful to the court. He was argumentative at times with witnesses ..but so was the prosecution at times. He had a ton of interruptions from several objections from Blake...which I felt was overkill at times. I admire her, but it was very annoying at times...let the witness speak Blake...you already "won"... I for one wanted to hear more of what Emma had to say, but Blake hardly let her talk. She may have learned something more if she did not constantly interrupt her testimony!..just ssyin!

I think he did well too and yes way too aggressive towards every single witness. It’s a better look to go at certain witnesses , I think that sticks with a jury more. Not a fan of the way Prior talked about Tammy. I think there were different ways to get points across without sounding like a jerk.

I can’t believe they brought his sister in law Heather Daybell into his closing argument 🤦🏽‍♀️. My goodness when Heather and her husband ( Chad’s brother ) moved to Rexburge , they did so to move away from their families to create their own life. Chad took one look at their property and decided to move his family not just to their town but on the same street as them. He did this knowing that they were trying to build their own life in a new community. Chad thought he would take over some of their land for his cult. That is wild to me.

💯💯 It's a shame in a death penalty case in Idaho that victim impactment statements can't "attack" the defendant with what they really want to say. If in Jeffrey Dahmer's victim statements a victim can call him a MF'er, it should be universal all victims can say what they truly feel!!💯💯💯👍
