Your right! Conservative. Both children should be rightfully charged with perjury. I can imagine moving forward. All the key board crime psychologists will be studying the Daybell clan for their being indoctrinated into their parents ( Doomsday cult) you can be sure they'll be shunned by their extended families and their LDS church. They will have no privacy and their every move scrutinized. I sure as heck wouldn't want to be related to that family. Wouldn't doubt they'll change their names, looks the area they live in.

I understand that the insurance money -- and the kids' Soc security were an integral part of their plan.....they were even looking at Brandon and his kids, too, for that insurance $. He got a lot of criticism for doing his job, but in the justice system everyone is entitled to a strong defense. I think Prior tried to do his best. It's like giving a chef random roadkill and asking to make a gormet meal-- there is only so much one can do. I am glad Prior did a commendable job. If he didn't, there would be arguments that Daybell wasn't given his due. I am guessing no one came to his defense in the sentencing because he didn't want his kids to hear anything against him.

Before Charles died, he said on police body cam that Lori threatened his life, called him Ned Schneider, that she was exalted, etc… but the police didn’t believe him. When he is killed a couple months later, the Chandler police don’t investigate and just take Lori and her brother’s word that it was self defence. That… is pure negligence. She also didn’t waive her right to a speedy trial in light of some of the prosecution evidence not being ready. So her court appointed attorney argued that, in light of some evidence not being ready, at the very least DP should be taken off. It was on the table until that point. Lori’s appointed lawyers did not argue a defense, but they saw getting the DP removed as their win. Initially Lori and Chad were supposed to be tried together but Chad waived his right to a speedy trial, while Lori didn’t. So their trials were separated. So…Lori had better lawyers.
