She didn't say her sister made a mistake; she simply realized it was not for her. I'm glad some of her siblings are supportive of her. She always seems so self-confident and even gives off like a power vibe. She's honestly a marvel. I hope her career takes her wherever she wants to go, and she finds her happiness.

I can kind of see both sides of it. Some people really do just prefer that break neck speed and that works for them. I used to think I wanted that, but got older and realized small cities are definitely for me. I don't want to live in a town with actually nothing, but I hate all the traffic and noise and just shittiness that comes with people from big cities. But I also really enjoy living where I am, I'm an hours drive away from multiple big cities in another state so it's nice to go there and experience that every once in a while. But yeah, I personally couldn't imagine actually moving to those cities
@aarishowton8037

That’s a pretty silly reason to think the mountains are in any way better than LA. I’m from the suburbs near Sacramento and I moved to a small town once, I lasted two months- none of my favorite restaurants, there was nowhere for me to get cheap furniture, couldn’t walk anywhere in less than 45 minutes. As a fellow super sheltered homeschooled person I relate so hard to her talking about missing out on the formative "finding out who you are" years. It's weird having to enter the world as an adult and interact with people who are so themselves and having to figure all that out.
These two have such an awkward and endearing chemistry during the interview and I love it so much.
i think it being “cringe to like things” is more prominent online than in everyday life if anything, in real life its “cringe” to hate on other people liking things in my personal experience at least

I was homeschooled my entire life by religious parents in Kentucky, and I can say that way of thinking is so hard to unlearn. I understand exactly what she is saying. You have to experiment with things so late that it does feel like you missed out on a normal childhood. Spitting out what you were spoon fed is heartbreaking and confusing. Where do you get your nutrition from after that? So to speak. It truly is exasperating to find yourself in your 20's when it seems like everyone else is over that. It is also validating to see other people question things and change their views on the world that does not fit the bible belt narrative. I realized I didn't want to be Christian and that I just wanted to be myself. She is so wonderful for spreading that message. I don't hate Christians by the way but being raised like that can feel suffocating to some of us. So it's nice to hear when people find a lifestyle that better suits them.
I would have never known from her videos about her upbringing. I was also homeschooled in an extreme religious upbringing. Fart was definitely a bad one. Shoutout to all the farts that were silenced by survivors like us.
i’ve been watching chad chad since the beginning of her channel and it’s shocking to watch her channel grow as well as her confidence in her work. love this video!

Genuinely THANK YOU Anthony for all these - this can't be understated but in our current culture with so much toxic and misleading content and information out there, it's so vital to have this sort of thing so widely seen and to have this platform to allow for these very candid and very human experiences. Eloquently and intelligently articulated with grace - it's a great melding of a popular platform and medium to have open, candid conversations that I think ALL OF US can relate to.
She looks like an alt Lana del Rey

I expected maybe mild doctrine about the usual religious stuff, like purity culture and the whole "women should have kids" thing. But not literally a "women should ONLY have kids" welp.

I'm also from Tennessee like ChadChad - I grew up with friends who had this sort of upbringing. I would get scolded by them for mentioning like, Harry Potter because it had "witchcraft" and God didn't want us to watch things like that. It was Satan trying to trick us. They never went online, and when they did they had one of those parental control things where they could basically only access wikipedia...as teenagers. And these were the kids who were allowed to go to public school. I imagine the homeschooled kids had it even worse. But on the same side, i grew up with unrestricted internet and media access and a very free liberal family, lol.
i remember discovering chad chad when she had 12k subs and thinking she was underrated, incredible how much she's blown up in just 3 years
I just found chad chad’s channel a couple weeks ago this is so exciting!!

Honestly, as someone who also grew up in a strict religious household, Chad Chad has always been a sort of inspiration and relatable figure for me. I appreciated hearing her talk about it.

Same for me! Honestly everything is relatable to me. Even down to the growing up in Tennessee, weirdly enough
Great interview ❤glad I found you! & the discription made me chuckle😂 not many people read discriptions
I remember i started watching Chad Chad at 15k subs when she only had like 8 vids, its amazing to to see how fast she grew a following, and it's well deserved she is one of the most unique persons on the platform, so glad to learn more about her on this one
The Jschlatt part at the end was the best. Great episode 💛
CHAD CHAD BE MY DAD DAD!!!!!
“Babe wake up, Anthony Padilla posted…. And Chad Chads in it”
I remember seeing Chad Chad appearing on my feed a couple years ago and being shocked when I tried to look back for more content. I assumed there had to have been privated stuff because of how polished it was. I became immediately attached and saw myself in them and it’s so cool to see them blow up so quick. And now on this channel, this is iconic. As a person who’s been a smosh and Anthony fan for so long and also take in her type of content it’s so cool to see those worlds collide. I’m very happy for Chad Chad and their success and new freedoms.
i like how the most replayed moment is people skipping the ad LMAO
11:45 i can see why he think it’s rediculous for ”fart” to be a bad word. He has been bdsm’ed in interviews before.

Well yeah. It’s ridiculous to anyone who isn’t a fundamentalist Christian

24:03 she’s talking about sneako🤮 I cant believe how unbothered Chad Chad is😭 she’s a queennn✨✨
Didn't know i could like Chad Chad even more than i already did, but there ya go. As a former conservative religious homeschooled person, the whole loss/suppression of yourself is something that's really difficult to work through, as well as deconstructing religion and patriarchal mindsets, since you don't have access to differing, kinder opinions. Constructing your identity after that, and building up your sense of self is such a huge thing, and can be isolating as you become different from your family/primary community. Chad Chad is such a badass. Go Chad Chad!
Hearing the words "alpha male community" was like hearing "cool kids club" where all the lame kids make an exclusive club near a giant ass tree trunk somewhere in the woods during pre-scool
as someone who grew up in a similar household, I resonate with chadchad a lot, the losing of self, the deconstructing and the process of unlearning things, having to realize that your own family pushes dangerous narratives onto you and that once you realize this your relationship with them will never be the same and that you no longer belong there, the shock of the fact that there's people who care about what you have to say or think or just about your existence in general is too real. I love her so much I hope she's doing good overall
LIVE LAUGH LIVE CHAD CHAD
i like that you can tell they got along, like they were friends by the end
So good to see Chad and Chad matching
I know another homeschool cult survivor when I see one. And that’s why I subscribed to her. Good job Chad Chad. You are very chill about the mental scars you carry.
Wow. I always felt like I could relate to Chad Chad, after watching this I see why. Thank you for sharing a piece of your story (even though it’s been after a few hours and you won’t see this haha)
Not allowed to say fart, that IS the F-word, is so relatable to my experience growing up. The people in my family are conservative Christian too so I understand everything.

Now I got the purpose of Chad Chad. She grew up in a religious household that taught out-of-date teachings & that prompted her to rebel against those teachings & now she's pissing off alpha male podcasts & pick-up artists cuz a lot of these guys still have patriarchal mindsets & she's there to set them straight
Chad Chad, you probably won’t see this, but I wanted to tell you I’m so proud of you! I’m a Christian feminist/egalitarian and I know firsthand how harmful the version of patriarchal Christianity you grew up in can be. I believe God created all people to be equal and that patriarchy was not part of his intention for humanity. So, so glad you’ve found your voice and that you’re flourishing!

I always love finding out that my favorite KZreadrs also had strict religious backgrounds and broke free from it. I grew up in a religious cult and it's not easy to deconstruct all of that so it just makes me appreciate them even more than I already do!
The fact that I for the most of the little clips of Chad Chad being shown know exactly what is being said in them or from what video they are from is scaring me... Why do I know that?!
Even though they aren't perfect people, I do appreciate my religious parents for not being too strict. We weren't allowed to participate in Halloween, but pokemon and Harry Potter wasn't banned. My parents actually love Harry Potter, and my dad considers "Exorcist" movies to be "REAL Christian Movies". The only children's media that was banned was Fairly Oddparents because of the episode where Cosmo gives birth.
