Le château de Saissac, à l’entrée de la Montagne Noire, est le plus ancien château cathare, et date de l'an 900 d'après une datation au carbone 14. Pendant la Croisade des Albigeois (1209-1229), les seigneurs le cèdent afin d'éviter des représailles des Croisés. Le seigneur Bertrand de Saissac, cathare converti, sera même condamné pour hérésie après sa mort. Pendant les conflits avec les Protestants au 16ème siècle, le village est détruit mais les soldats ne parviennent pas à envahir le château. Il est confisqué et vendu après la Révolution française, notamment à des chasseurs de trésor qui dynamitent le donjon. C'est en 1979 qu'est découvert le trésor, composé de 2000 deniers. En 1994, la commune rachète le château pour un franc symbolique et effectue des travaux pour l'ouvrir au public. L'entrée est aujourd'hui à 5€.
Zone de vol légal. Les plans aériens ont été filmés depuis l’extérieur de la zone rouge et depuis l’extérieur de l’enceinte. Les plans à l’intérieur ont été tournés depuis le sol avec une Osmo Pocket. Je précise que je me suis signalé à l’accueil, qui m’a confirmé que ça ne posait pas problème dans la mesure où il n'y avait personne, et que j’ai payé ma place, contrairement à la plupart des dronistes qui filment ce château…

The castle of Saissac, an entry point to the Montagne Noire, is the oldest Cathar castle, and dates from the year 900 according to a carbon 14 dating. During the Albigensian Crusade (1209-1229), the lords ceded it to avoid retaliation from the Crusaders. Lord Bertrand de Saissac, a converted Cathar, was even condemned for heresy after his death. During the conflicts with the Protestants in the 16th century, the village was destroyed but the soldiers did not manage to invade the castle. It was confiscated and sold after the French Revolution, to a series of buyers, including treasure hunters who blasted the dungeon with dynamite. The treasure, composed of 2,000 deniers, was only discovered in 1979. In 1994, the village bought the castle for a token sum and carried out work to open it to the public. The entrance fee is now 5€.
Legal fly zone. The aerial shots were filmed from outside the NFZ and from outside the enclosure. Shots of the inside were taken from the ground with an Osmo Pocket. I’d like to point out that I reported myself to the person working on site, who gave me permission, and that I paid the entrance fee, contrary to most drone pilots who shoot this castle...

Oui on peut voler autour et au dessus de la cour sud mais pas au dessus de la partie principale où il y a les salles d'expo.

Hi, the music in the video is not at all "relaxing", it's more the "epic / dramatic" type. And we're not doing the same thing at all.
