In the novel, after TTJ's soul was shattered. His pet demon tiger swallowed a piece of his soul which prevented him from totally vanishing. After 1k years, he was able to be reborn again still as the demon foetus but without the bad influence. He didn't dare to find SuSu as he thought he wasn't good enough for her. However, SuSu found him and they finally reunited as a family. He later returned with SuSu to his demon Kingdom which SuSu had helped him ruled for 1k years.

I think original novel is happy ending and they go back to demon world with tantai jin. but somehow some of them cut off the episode sadly..:(

They cut 18 episodes due to the official episode limit (no more than 40 episodes)

The direction was a disaster halfway through the drama and got worst in the final episodes.
