Hi! 首先恭喜Karman媽咪，因為你現在面對的抉擇是個幸福的問題，因為只有媽咪和BB一切安好穩定，才能有這個選擇。其實kkh以公立醫院來說真的是無可挑剔，所以到頭來只是價錢和時間的問題。如果時間不是問題，也不和別人比較孩子在什麼醫院生的，那kkh絕對是首選。我曾經在kkh生下很早產的雙胞胎，由於屬於高危case,我們還要考慮到孩子進NICU的費用，所以留在kkh（subsidised)跟進。我很感謝Kkh的醫護人員，她們真的給我們很大的幫助，我住的是6/8人病房，但是睡得很舒服，護士服務也很周到，NICU的醫護人員也很細心地照顧我們的寶寶。這是我個人的經歷與感想，希望能幫到你❤

選擇醫生同醫院是個人決定，之前有人留言提到有兒科醫生的優點，如果B B要特別照顧，私家醫院要另找醫生，價錢是一個問題，這可以是冇底深潭。 另外，有些私家醫生等侯時間也不短，要查清楚。 無論怎樣選擇， 希望你不要因為周邊人壓力，在非私家醫院生會給比下去。 我就是其中一個專業人士， 身邊沒人在非私家醫院生B, 但我在KK生了三個孩子。 這邊政府醫院絕對可以比美私家醫院，決定你選擇醫院三大criteria再選擇，無論選擇什麼，支持你。🎉❤

Actually when come to public facilities, Singapore Public hospital is better than private hospital. Its like having a shopping mall and food court within the hospital 😊

my aunt who is a retired pediatrician suggested to us to have baby born at KKH too. reason being, it has equipment and facilities for complications which private hospitals may not be able to cope with after baby is born. the transferring of baby after birth is both costly and stressful for baby. although we still took the risk at private hospital twice.

KKH has the best clinical experiences‼

kkh科目齐全。如果私人医院出现问题，都是要送kkh。所以kkh比较稳当，可以走private track，固定医生。公立医院的问题主要是等候时间可能很长。

生仔同細路相關問題，KK絕對係首選，交通超方便。記得平台有電子動物騎。公立醫療系統新加坡拋離香港超多。

Actually KKH also have maternity package. But same as private hospitals, only worth it if you sign up early as it would cover all checks and delivery. And if you sign up the KKH under the private route, beside dedicated doctor, you will not need to spend so much time to take medicine and make payment. 20+ years ago the hospital actually provide separate area to manage this type of business, not sure if same for now. If money is of concern, better to take this route as any complications will be very costly under private hospitals and might still end up in KKH as it has the best facility in this domain.

As any Singaporeans parents will know... In rhe middle of the night... If any medical emergency does happen to your child... KKH's A&E is the place to go... I have spent at least 3 night there in 3 times throughout my son's life from 0-9... Touch Wood... But if there is any medical issues in the middle of the Night... KKH is the place to go.

I went to A&E with Little K before. The service was really good!

早年移居澳洲在新西兰生产，在这里只要你或你的配偶是合法的永久居民或者是公民，生产包括孕捡都是完全免费。服务与水准堪称一流。一个孕妇占住一间房。如果父母中的一方是当地居民或公民孩子出世后便是当地的公民。

My 2 boys were delivered by A/Prof Mary Rauff from Gynecology Associates Clinic in Mount E 30 yrs ago. She’s also an Associate Professor in the Department of O&G, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine NUS and a senior consultant in NUH Women’s Clinic Emerald. I still go to her for my yearly woman’s checkup till this day

KKH 設備齊全，穩妥，可以轉 private 但冇政府資助。私家醫院的單人病房比 KKH 靚些和餐飲好些，但貴些。兩種醫院的護士都好好。還要考慮KKH的醫療服務有一定的 SOP，該做的檢查和冶療都會做。某些私人醫生可能會亂收費，不該做的可能都會做，所以最好係有人介紹。

私家醫院的每樣服務和住院時用的醫療用品都比較貴。很多本地人有買醫療保險，或公司有代買保險的福利，可以減輕費用。

KK and Thomson are specialised for children. My experience is that both their nurses are very experienced in handling new born and know how to handle and alert on abnormality , give more comfort than other private hospital

KKH can provide private consultation too, at specialists’ clinic…. The consultant and his team will follow thru. Waiting time is reasonable….

This is a good option!

There’re other public hospitals such as National University Hospital which you can consider if you are staying at the west side of SG. My 3 children (from 2006 to 2011) were all delivered there under very good care of the healthcare team there.

The public hospitals here are quite good

I went to Thomson Medical. A recommendation from my colleague & indeed the gynae is really experienced and patience. And it was under a package, includes all the pregnancy checks. If you prefer a specific doctor, either private clinic in KKH or a private hospital will be a better choice.

Thomson medical 有个医生Dr Beh Suan Tiong（原本在KKH） 就是我第二胎的主治医师。他真的很棒，又没有架子。

I've been to Thompson medical for my gynae check ups during pregnancy, and the wait was just as long!

majority of singaporeans were born at KKH. it was once the guiness world record holder for most births in a single place (not sure if it still holds that record)

我家3代都系在 KKH 出世。头两代在旧 KKH 。服务与照顾周到。只要系B1 以上就可以选择固定医生。（所谓 Paying Class）。恭喜你。

We went to prof john tee in kkh. Eventually we chose the B4 . Kkh has the complete facilities in case of complications.

If money is a concern and rightly pointed out by you if you are a citizen or PR then KKH. If money is not a concern then u could choose a private gynae with shorter waiting time and personalised service. If there`s any big complication for the baby u would still probably better off at KKH NICU with the good experienced team

是的。我的大儿子是在旧的KKH，就是对面的就医院。以前护士是跟我们说，如果要同一个医生看到生产。就需要拿B1以上的病房。

I dun have any recommendations to u on this matter as I dun have any kids!!! That said, my father-in-law is a retired gynae from the private sector ... n I own quite a bit of shares in Thomson Medical! Thomson was founded by one of Singapore's leading gynaes ... who also delivered me into this world at KKH when he was a public sector doctor many many decades ago. All the best w the delivery ... whether it is at KKH or Thomson ... looks like u are set to have a Dragon baby .. fun fact ... the 1st day of CNY also happens to b the birthday of another dragon child ... My gynae was also Dr Han but left 2 years ago to set up his own practice. He can gave humorous reply when we asked him questions. He keep on asking me to go for another one every year I went for annual checks.

在台灣生孩子，大家會去醫院生或是朋友介紹的醫院還有醫生。有些爸媽也會自費做小朋友身體的檢查，台灣都是可以預訂同一個醫生的❤

在香港 & 新加坡，私家的就可以指定醫生。現在的血液測試可以測試到主要的先天基因情況，都是要自費的
