The fact that he didn’t make fun of them or didn’t look at them weird because their connected means so much to me. It’s very rare to find someone who accepts a person that like, who doesn’t look at them weirdly. It’s a beautiful thing.

i love how they have the piano as their shared activity. It would be uniquely suited to them, as they can create complex melodies and harmonies. This would be much harder for a normal person but allows to the two to express themselves together

There are several "twin" elements in their house. The painting of two brains, the teapot with two spouts, the jar with two tips, a pair of skulls conected at the top, two birds in the glass dome, the lamp by their bed, the clock with two faces, two deer heads hung upon the wall, double fruit bowl, the table with two lamps, the house is number 11, the front door with two windows and having two identical parlor windows, even the piano you can argue have this conjoined shape.

The implied story is much sadder than you think. Notice the left girl was all alone at the start of the video. In my guess, the right girl sacrificed her life so that her sister can be with the man, but her sister couldn't live with the guilt and gave up on the romance.

If you look at the way light hits the character's hair and faces, and the clinking sound whenever they touch something, you'll realize that they are actually porcelain dolls. This makes sense considering how the setting looks just like a fancy, victorian-style dollhouse, and the same for their clothes. I love how the film portrays how, despite the sisters' "defect," they are still deserving of love and acceptance, just like any other dolls, which they finally got from their new friend! It's a really sweet story and I love the vintage doll asthetic, (IDK if I spelled that right) and all the little references to twins in the girls' house. Overall great film. Sorry if that was to long, I had a lot to say.

This was one of the most touching things I have ever seen! 😭💖 First off how amazing that they chose the conjoined twins concept in this one! They gave these people voice! Also how amazing the concept of different characters! The one is shy and collected the other protective and daring! I love the fact that the two of them fear that they will be seen as monsters and they hide in the house and yet the violinist did see them as unique as they are and also that he immediately respected them. And the way the twins' condition is hinted by the objects around them or the fact that they open up and let light in or that they look fragile and elegant like porcelain dolls... And of course the music oh the music is breathing! 💖🎶🎼🎵 Thank you so much for making this masterpiece! 💓🎻💖💟👏👏👏👏🎺🎶🎼

two sisters so similar, yet so different one curious one careful too much seclusion can be very painful may cause delusion they both face the hardships of reality when they both reveal their conjoined duality. two sisters born with fusion. not yet have ended with their conclusion one man passed by hearing the beautiful sound of piano keys playing throughout the sky the eerie sound of wind; a soft soprano within the trees a solo voilinist two sisters one curious; and one that tried to resist. they both faced reality their destiny; it cannot be changed for they, cannot simply be within ones eye range. everyone saw them as terrifying, they would always scream at this "terrible beast" maybe by one man, one that can understand the two sisters. now joined by the young mister one cautious one sweet, one true to the sound of his heart beat. this may not be a feat, rather than a new treat, something bitter, but also sweet now that the sisters can be at peace. now that they three can create a new team, now that they three, can create a new type of masterpiece.

I think it's definitely two persons, so he may marry one with another's consent (the question is medically delicate :)). One girl may be "leading" and control both legs. Or they may control each her own leg (like Hensel twins) - it's not fatal for walking.

(Three confused voices: "Wait wait, we only have greeted each other!") I suppose it all must be decided by heart-to-heart(-to-heart) conversation between ladies and gentleman, with love and understanding (and with possible participation of their parents if they exist, and a local priest and a doctor, according the epoch). And real end of this story would be probably not happy. But this have gone too far from the romantic metaphor of the short film :)

Porcelain, huh? Maybe they were designed to be a perfect imperfection in its own right. The idea that even though they were born into a high class society family (Porcelain doll exterior, i.e. "Perfection"), the deformity they are afflicted with has affected their standing within that same society (Conjoined twins are considered a "curiosity." More commonly seen in side shows at the carnival, or state fair.). Personally, I would imagine it to be very difficult to start out with only fine and gross motor skills with half of a shared body. For example, a three-legged race. It requires communication and co-operative participation in order to synchronize to win the race. Similarly, conjoined twins have to do that every day in order to even get dressed.

I'd like to comment that the story felt like it gave of an entire background to the characters, if you know what I mean. I enjoy "reviewing" animations, it makes my day, so thank you!

Ive been in love with this for years and just- its so amazing. one thing i would love to learn more about is the family. I doubt the girls decorated the house themselves. The style and decorations clearly show they're from a noble family! Since there is no sight of the parents, i think they either had to leave them or died. Either way, they're stuck in that house alone. The decorations, everything being double and some things being joined (the skulls, tea pot and deer heads). This shows they were loved dearly at one point. One thing that kind of annoyed me was that we can see from the outside it is quite cold, and the man is wearing multiple layers, yet they're only wearing a single dress. Maybe this means they don't have money to spare? or just being careful? Anyway, this entire short is so beautiful and i love it so much!!! I also like the fact that he's clearly shocked when he sees them together, but wants to know them so he pushes through nd i think that's pretty amazing

This is so beautiful! The setting looks more like a painting than a 3D environment! And the characters look like shiny porcelain dolls~ (An aesthetic which I live for) Amazing work!!!
