LYRICS:
I’ll show you the truth,
I’ll show you your purpose.
Just a pencil and a dream,
Created for entertainment.
He lives on through us,
Born from darkness, born from lust,
‘Cuz when we reach the end,
We do it all over again.
Follow me,
We are children of the machine.
Barely human in a city built on broken dreams.
Follow me,
We are children of the machine.
Barely human in a city built on broken dreams.
It’s a joyless job,
When your heart’s running empty at the seams,
But after eons filling up the bottle,
Sitting on a desperate pencil and a dream.
Well, the void was filled when you lived,
To the empty ink, then we would sink,
To the beat of a cog wheel turning,
Love was the fuel that kept me from burning,
To create this finest design,
You need a magic darker than mine,
And a kiss from the angels casting demons down the bottom line.
So wonderful how deep the love can flow,
‘Cuz when you came into my life,
I couldn’t bare to let go,
But the curtain came to close.
He lives on through us,
We’re born from darkness, born from lust,
‘Cuz when we reach the end,
We do it all over again.
Follow me,
We are children of the machine.
(We built this machine.)
Barely human in a city built on broken dreams.
Follow me,
We are children of the machine.
(You came to life.)
Barely human in a city built on broken dreams.
In the dark nightmare,
See the spotlight glare,
And accept your fate in time.
In the dark nightmare,
See the spotlight glare,
And accept your fate in time.
Follow me,
We are children of the machine.
Barely human in a city built on broken dreams.

I love how powerful the imagery is at 1:25. It's like Joey was a being of hate and darkness, and the all consuming power of love purified him. But since he had no love himself, when he was purified, there was nothing left of him once he accepted the love and let it consume him, just like the darkness once had.

I just love the way they approached this. It’s not the common immense horror. CG5 put all of the spices of the game into one dish, and created a never thought masterpiece. The fact that it’s like hopeful and sad and scary is just hard to take in. The verse “So wonderful how deep the love can flow!” is just to powerful, it shows how much Joey drew loved his project. And finally, Audrey, the song shows her hope, and determination while also feeling sadness along the way of her journey. I love how CG5 isn’t just one type of artist, he’s multiple, pop, rock, horror, and etc. Congrats CG5 on this masterpiece, I’m not the only one loving this, 2.7 Thousand commenters all complementing you on one song out of hundreds already here and millions more to come, and there is probably still more people that listened to the song without going on KZread and commenting. I’m pretty sure the song was inspired by the quote from the game “Just because we’re born of darkness, doesn’t mean we belong to it.” It does that very well with lyrics and instrumentals that elicit feelings of both dark feelings like despair and regret but also bright feelings like hope and love. It well represents how people live on not in their grand achievements, but their real ones, their family, the ones they held dear. “The children of the machine” in the song are representative of what we create in our life, the same thing we can use to create our demons are the same thing we can use to create our sons or daughters, and I think that’s powerful.

This song reflects how much the events of the story impacted the lives of the others, rather than just the "big scary monsters," and I feel like we need more songs like this to shed light on the tragedy going on behind the scenes. I liked Joey's rap too! Don't get me wrong, Joey Drew has and will always be a liar. He lied to Audrey about the truth behind the studio as well as the people in it. He lied, and still lies to make himself look like the good guy. When in reality he is still the main villain behind everything. He even went as far as to say that the studio was a fake-world, a dimension outside of reality. Which is his biggest, and also most obvious lie. But the one thing he didn't lie about was Audrey being his daughter. There is evidence to prove that Joey lied about everything else. But there is proof that Audrey is Joey's daughter. And it makes his rap even more catchy and heartwarming. In a life of lies, the one thing he didn't lie about was his family. Which was really heartwarming to see. Joey truly loves Audrey, and that was a really good part of the song.

One thing I liked about this song is the lighting. The fan-favorite golden studio is in this song! The same golden lighting that was in Bendy and the Ink Machine! The same golden studio that was in ALL of the Bendy and the Dark Revival trailers. But unfortunately not in the final game. The actual game was a lot more tan in color, and a lot more dull and boring. Not anything like the golden adventure that was Bendy and the Ink Machine. So I liked how this video brought back the golden lighting!

I know I may go deep on this but I'd love to talk about it because it makes me feel at ease a little listening to this. "I'll show you the truth, I'll show you your purpose" - Knowing your place in society's world. "Just a pencil and a dream, created for entertainment" - Our dreams started from picking up a pencil and writing what we would like to be in the future, right? And our dreams are all over the news, articles, everywhere. "Cause when we reach the end, we do it all over again" - History repeats itself, things repeat itself, over and over. "Follow me, we are children of the machine. Barely human in a city built on broken dreams" - as we grow older, more responsibility are on our shoulders expecting things to be okay. But then there is Depression, Anxiety, and maybe some underlying mental health conditions the person doesn't know about (Yes those cases happen). "It's a joyless job, when your heart is running empty at the seams" -Adult life and teen life are difficult, don't think it's easy as it seems. It sucks the life out of you and you feel more and more insecure. "Singing on a desperate pencil and a dream" -Willing to chase your dreams but you are desperate to be there already. "You need a magic darker than mine, and a kiss from the angels casting demons from the bottom line!" - Survival of the fittest. The weak won't survive what adult life has to offer, nor will it ever. Only with luck if anything, so build that thick skin early. "So wonderful how deep the love can flow" -Being able to get close to your friends, partners, pets, and family. You are able to be vulnerable to them and are able to gain your trust. "Cause when you came to my life I couldn't bare to let go, but the curtain came to a close" -Abandonment. It happens when a friend, pet, family memeber, or someone you know passing away or just stops having a connection to you. It happens alot belive it or not. (Happened to me too couple of times). The best thing to do is move on. Did I miss anything? Reply below! (Also ty for seeing this lol)

Gotta love the double meaning with the chorus; one being the fallen ink monsters in the alternate world singing of their despair, and the other being Audrey and Bendy, with the chorus changing from despair to hope. Kinda hard to write it all out, but it's well done.

I love how it's less of a huge symphony and more of a lullaby, focusing on the sadness rather than the horror. But it's not all sadness, there's also hope. In a world of despair, Audrey is a being made of love and hope. As Joey says, "To create this finest design, you need a magic darker than mine, and a kiss form the Angels casting demons down the bottom line," it shows he was aware he wasn't a good person, and that her goodness could only come from others rather than the demons he created. I personally think that the memories found in BATDR are from others, like how shortly after we find the hotdog, we hear about it in a tape form Nathan Arch, and how it's about him enjoying life's small things.

This song hits hard not just in context of the story of the game itself but in the context of the people who've played it. It's not just that the characters in the game who're “Children of the Machine” but, if you truly think about it, many of us were raised by Bendy and the Ink Machine and various other indie games (FNAF, Undertale, Etc). But using Bendy as the example, we were raised by the Ink Machine, making us children of the machine.

The song "Children of the Machine" by CG5 and DAGames is a reflection on the nature of existence, purpose, and creation. The lyrics of the song are dense with meaning and imagery, drawing on metaphors of darkness, lust, and broken dreams. The song speaks to the human condition, exploring the way in which we are all products of a larger system, and how we are constantly searching for meaning and purpose in our lives. The first lines of the song set the stage for the themes that will be explored throughout the rest of the lyrics. "I'll show you the truth, I'll show you your purpose," the singer declares, suggesting that there is some higher meaning or purpose to be found in life, and that it is up to the listener to discover it. This idea of purpose is further explored in the following line, "Just a pencil and a dream, created for entertainment," which suggests that life itself is a form of entertainment, and that we are all characters in a larger narrative. The idea of being created for entertainment is one that resonates with the hit online multiplayer game "Among Us." In this game, players take on the roles of crewmates on a spaceship, and must work together to complete tasks while trying to identify and eliminate any imposters who are secretly trying to sabotage their efforts. The game is a form of entertainment, and the players are all characters within the game's narrative. The lyrics of "Children of the Machine" suggest that our lives are similar to this game, and that we are all part of a larger system that is designed for entertainment. The idea of being born from darkness and lust is also explored in the song's lyrics. "He lives on through us, born from darkness, born from lust," the singer declares, suggesting that our very existence is rooted in primal urges and desires. The line "Love was the fuel that kept me from burning" suggests that love is a powerful force that can help us to overcome our more destructive impulses, and that it is necessary for our survival. The idea of being "children of the machine" is one that is repeated throughout the song. The line "Follow me, we are children of the machine" suggests that we are all part of a larger system, and that we must follow a predetermined path in order to achieve our purpose. The lyrics suggest that this path is one of struggle and hardship, as we are "barely human in a city built on broken dreams." The imagery of broken dreams is another recurring theme in the song's lyrics. The line "It's a joyless job when your heart's running empty at the seams" suggests that life is often a struggle, and that we are all fighting to find meaning and purpose in a world that can be cold and unforgiving. The line "Barely human in a city built on broken dreams" reinforces this idea, suggesting that we are all struggling to survive in a world that is filled with disappointment and shattered hopes. The song's lyrics also explore the idea of fate and acceptance. The lines "In the dark nightmare, see the spotlight glare, and accept your fate in time" suggest that we are all subject to a larger power or force, and that we must learn to accept our place in the world. This idea of acceptance is linked to the concept of fate, suggesting that our lives are predetermined, and that we must learn to accept the cards that we have been dealt. In conclusion, the song "Children of the Machine" is a powerful reflection on the nature of existence, purpose, and creation. The song's lyrics are dense with meaning and imagery, exploring themes of darkness, lust, broken dreams, and acceptance. The song speaks to the human condition, suggesting that we are all part of a larger system, and that we must learn to navigate the struggles of life in order to find meaning and purpose. The repeated refrain of "Follow me, we are children of the machine" suggests that we are all part of a larger narrative, and that we must follow a predetermined path in order to achieve our purpose. The song's connection to the online multiplayer game "Among Us" is interesting to consider as well. The game itself is a form of entertainment that requires players to work together and identify imposters who are trying to sabotage their efforts. The themes of the song, particularly the idea of being created for entertainment and following a predetermined path, seem to resonate with the experience of playing the game. The lyrics suggest that our lives are similar to the game, and that we are all part of a larger system that is designed for entertainment. Overall, the lyrics of "Children of the Machine" are powerful and thought-provoking. The song explores complex themes and ideas, drawing on metaphors of darkness, lust, and broken dreams to convey a sense of struggle and hardship that is inherent in the human experience. The repeated refrain of "Follow me, we are children of the machine" reinforces the idea that we are all part of a larger system, and that we must navigate the challenges of life in order to find meaning and purpose. The connection to the online multiplayer game "Among Us" adds an interesting layer to the song's meaning, suggesting that our lives are similar to the game, and that we are all characters in a larger narrative.

I don't know why, but this song is like the best song I've ever heard and I'll be 48 in a couple months. I think it's something about the audio itself and the visuals working together to perfectly blend a sad story together like no other. Because of this song and another I came across I might wind up getting the Bendy games to just experience the story first hand! Good job on this and such epic voices, I will continue to listen to this till I have it burned into my brain!

Although this is unlikely to be seen now, this is truly a masterpiece, better than any fanmade game song I have ever heard. It is so good that I even shed tears for it. Instead of the horror, it focuses on the tragedy within the ink. But hope still rises despite all the sorrow, with love and goodwill eventually overcoming the darkness, which is the most moving part of the game, thus making this piece filled by tension and power. CG5's work made the song nearly impeccable, and the distinctive voice from DAGames also did an excellent job. Without the two working together, we wouldn't be able to hear this.

An excellent and heartfelt song with quality animation to boot. Also, on a _very_ different note: I couldn't help but think that a sizeable portion of these lyrics could be construed as a Magos Biologis techpriest who is unusually passionate about their work roaming the remains of a destroyed city, with flashbacks where they remember their work creating newborns (and the paperwork of such; yes they use a quill & ink bottles), along with memories of the one kid they were _really_ fond of (their own genetic descendant?)

I absolutely love the almost marching, footstep like beat with 'Follow me, we are children of the Machine' Especially at the end, when the group arrives upon the Audrey and Bendy fusion- the children having arrived to see the cycles end. This whole song gives me shivers, most BATIM/BATDR songs are in a jazzy, swing type beat. But this one is so much more solemn and reflects on the true tragedy of the machine and those who have been 'blessed' by the ink.

This song is so underrated. The lyrics are genius, and the tone is so different from other Bendy songs in the best way possible. I love how it's more... upbeat? Uplifting? I'm not sure if those are the right words, but it's not dark or edgy. words cannot explain how much of a masterpiece this song is. you've gathered all of the spices of dark revival and blended them into one beautiful dish of a song. I believe that the love joey drew had for Audrey, carried on into her heart. now its officially Bendy's turn to be loved.

So many others have said it already, but I think this song is just incredible at looking at the other side of this game. I was hesitant to listen to the song at first, expecting the usual strong and aggressive approach, but I was pleasantly surprised by a lullaby tune and alluring lyrics. Been listening to it on repeat ever since then!! Wonderful work 🙌🙌

I don't know why, but da games's entire part, all the lyrics he sings, sounds so inspirational and comforting for some reason. Idk maybe it's because he's apart of my childhood. But dude, 0:59 - 1:39 , for me it doesn't even feel like a part of a bendy song, just a personal message. It's feels like if a other half of you, like past you, just starts pouring out their love to you when you're at your lowest point in life, when you don't see the point of all. Literally materializing in your subconscious to give you a message. They show how while yes you're in a shithole in life, and life really feels like a joyless job, perhaps that's even more reason to be proud, because you keep fighting even after eons. And maybe if you keep fighting, everything will actually turn out alright in the end. And that other half just shows how far you've come and how proud the past is of you; how genuinely amazing you are now; how you matter; how you're a beautiful wonder. Sure you're not perfect, but your past is so proud of you, they love you so much. For me every lyric just sounds like my other half speaking to me, plus with it being dagames its more personal given I was literally listening to his music since I was in single-digit age, and idk it just feels really special.

Alright this song is fantastic, it's very simple and resonant, honestly the first time I heard it I was keeping my fingers crossed it wouldn't fall into dubstep or a rap and get more than likely be ruined for me and it didn't, it just stuck with what it had and executed it incredibly, the song also embodies the feeling of the game pretty well: desperate, dark, withered, somber, poetic, but still with a spark of hope at it's core driving it. Instrumental side I like the thumping in the background in some points sounding like an incoming revolution, and the music box across the song really gives it a classical Gothic feel The lyrics are alright, mostly nothing insane a lot of it's stuff right from the game which is perfectly fine, but there's still a few lines I'm particularly fond of, any line in anything that's something to the effect of "I know a part of her lives on through you" is my weakness and it's great that that's right in the start of the chorus, but my favorite pair of lines that form a really cool dichotomy are "Born from darkness, born from lust" from the ink creatures and "Love was the fuel that kept me from burning" from Joey If in the actual game the Ink Demon said to Audrey *"You were born from love, I was born from lust"* at some point it wouldn't be out of place in the slightest, because that's what really separates the pair even though they're basically the "King and Queen" of the cycle, one a child of light and love the other a demon of lust and darkness But the main reason I'm here commenting is the animation, which... goddamn it's fuckin otherworldly. Like I'd freely say that Dark Revival looks like Pixar compared to bendy and the ink machine, but this video looks like Pixar compared to dark revival, and it's not just the execution either, a lot of scenes are really thought out, like joey fading away and Audrey crying exemplifying that whole "I'm just the memory" the actual game only briefly touched on, the scene with Audrey and Bendy walking to the real world is also really clever, and the lighting and shading of everything makes this video seem so warm and comforting, the particles look perfect, that incredible scene if joey fading away must've taken like 414 years to render I guess all I can concisely say is hat's off to whoever on the team sold their soul to make this video possibly completed start to finish less then 2 months after the game came out
