I always found my proses truer worked well. Obviously a proper truer is the best, looks great 👍 You have to glue tyres, use a precision caliper to check the diameter. You then need to take the shoulders off and then condition the tyres if needed. You have to aim for a thin running strip that the tyre will run on. On home tracks unless you have a long straight tyre ballooning might not happen so this is less relevant. On club tracks where cars are running near flat out this is key. I know people that just use a flat piece of material and different grades of sandpaper. The material has to be flat though no use using a track piece. I know people that just use thos method and are very fast, obviously there are lots of other things to set up on a car that makes it fast like motor pod, car balance, independent wheels, wheels themselves, car weight etc.

Thanks! Audio was fine. I run a lot of super slick silicone tires, almost all fit the rims well and have a flat profile. I dont know about trueing them if they dont have a flat profile, might take a long time on the truer?

I dont use silicone, but what i have read is they usually do not need to be trued. If they do i read you have to go very slow and use a very fine grit

Have you thought about having a spare axle just connected to the tire truer with wheels and bushings and just putting different sets of tires on the premade set up to true them. I want to get a tire truer but I’m not sure how often I would need to be popping the back axle assembly’s out and putting on this machine. It would be easier to just pop the tires off and put them on a pre-existing set up on the truer. What are your thoughts?

Carrera cars use different size tires and wheels for various cars,

If you are a perfectionist, yes you should do the wheels first and glue on the tires
