Today on The Hard Count, it's a new era of the College Football Playoff! With a new playoff model comes new verbiage around how we evaluate the CFP. "Who's on the bubble?" is something we hear for March Madness but we're about to hear it in college football. J.D. breaks down his bubble teams ahead of the 2024 CFB season (including, Tennessee Vols football, Michigan Wolverines football, Miami Hurricanes football, and MORE). Speaking of CFB season, we can tell it's almost time to play ball because media days are about to get rolling! Florida State Seminoles QB, DJU, has decided to not attend. J.D. unpacks why DJU isn't going and his thought on the situation overall. Finally, Arch Manning has opted IN to EA Sports College Football 25. Notre Dame 4 Life. Die Hard fan for 40 years. A 10-2 Season this year absolutely does not deserve a playoff spot. Periodt. But let's go 12-0 and 2 rounds in the playoffs. Not getting a championship this year. But the future looks great. Go Irish.

@@spencerwarren9219 Notre Dame gets something very very important by not being eligible to get one of them 4 first round byes, complete autocracy and freedom over the making of their entire schedule every year. Lets assume ND really was good enough to get one of those byes, or lets even assume there's no question ND is one of the top 4 teams in the country but they don't get a bye. BIG DEAL! They won't have to play in a brutal Conference Championship Game, they will be rested, healthier, big time prepared to play that number 12 seed that plays the 5th seed. Do you think ND is worried about playing that number 12 seed as a 5 seed? ND has thought this through and knows exactly what their doin. They are very smart.

I think vols have already passed the bubble. I mean a rebuilding year they went 9 and 4. Wait till you see hypel with a generational top 5star qb . Hell look what he did with a 4 star hooker.i see vols in first 12 team cfp in 2024.
How does FSU only have 4 away games? Was it ever 6 & 6 or am I trippin'?

One of the games is in Dublin, Ireland and sometimes schools can have 5-7 away/home games in a season.

It ain’t just FSU There are quite a few teams that only have four every year.
