When I got my SXS The shocks were put on backwards I didn’t even know the guy that changed my belt turned them around for me and let me know when I picked it up lol 😂

Nice idea removing the plate to get access to the drain plug. Not having the air box in the way is a luxury I wish I had.

I use royal purple for all my other toys this cf Moto is new to me is royal ok for wet clutches of my z force 500 trail

Your 500 trail don’t have a wet clutch buddy can use what ever oil you want to.

if you take out the passenger seat there is a small pass through the plastic interior that can be removed. It makes it much easier to pour in the new oil using the provided tube and funnel. you may already know this but in case you didn't i just wanted to throw it out there. Those little lights under there (LED ones when you start your sxs up). Are they bright at night? I used whole strips (4 in total) under my Scrambler. Those look like a much easier install.

On the 500 trail 2019 zforce 500 trail is the. Igor oil dipstick reached easy removing the passenger passenger seat ?

I had a fair amount of oil dump out of the air box when I removed the outer snap cover any thoughts why?

Rotella t6 is safe and works great for wet clutches. I use in in my king quads, my zforce 800ex . Even though my 2 sportsman's have dry clutches I use it in them also.

kenneth carroll me personally i use it in everything but a wet clutch engine. It works and does a great job. But it wasn’t designed for wet clutches so i never take the chance.

I run the king quad group on facebook, our atvs are wet clutch and many members use it in them. Guys with over 10,000 miles on their machines. There are no requirements for a wet clutch machine that rotella doesn't have. I do think amsoil isa great lubricant but I think rotella protects them just as well.

What is that oil fill cap all about that covers the valves? It's got the "oil me" symbol and it screws off. Right below the pull off access hatch in the back "trunk"

Curious to if you have done anything with your winches like at a toggle switch inside the unit or possibly a remote control for the winch there’s a really nice one at Harbor freight for 35 bucks that I was thinking about trying out it looks like it would be plug-and-play.

Love your videos, but I have a question on the oil change. I've see 2 different oil change videos that you have put out, this one uses Amzoil, (which I live about 5 minutes away from) and the other one uses Valvoline for the diff's. So which one is it? Amzoil or Valvoline. Second question, you talk about heat to the rear end while driving on the road, we have RR beds that go for miles and can run as fast as you want, but they are gravel, so tell me, will the diffs get hot doing that? I bought my unit 2022 zforce 800 ex but will not pick it up for a couple of weeks, so I am new to this. Thanks for the answers.

Both oils are good. The amsoil we found pukes out the diff breather at higher speeds. Yes the diffs will get hot allow cooling time.

Dealer said three quarts of 10- 40

There is also an AMSOIL 10w-40 motorcycle oil, which is also wet clutch compatible and I used to use this on my victory v-twin. Is there a reason you recommend the ATV 10w-40 instead?

It’s cheaper. And still wet clutch certified. All of their ATV oils are even if they aren’t labeled for it.

What about aftermarket oil filter and air filter numbers for ZForce 950? I’ve contacted K&N they didn’t have any ideas. Can’t find anything that crosses with Hiflo either. Haven’t checked Fram yet. Going to be using 5W40 because I’ll be running it in the winter here in Iowa where it gets to 20 or 30 negative. Any help would be appreciated. I just bought a oil filter off of Amazon with the right CF Moto numbers.

Hey there buddy HF152 or KN152 on the oil filter. Nothing at all yet on the air filter.

This drain on 1000cc is for transmission oil drain. The engine oil drain is under the engine

Yeah. Engine. Even the 1000 engine. Because the trans on the 1000 is separate but changing the “oil” is the same.

Was doing mine and aftermarket filter didn't have spring. Is it necessary to swap it over. Seen another video and he didn't either and I didn't hear u mention it. Wondering?

Not every filter has a spring. Only certain ones do.

Where is the sump strainer on the 500? Service manual is on its way but doing oil change today. Thanks!

@@R.N.GPerformance then I guess it won't hurt for me to wait until next time. Used Mobil1 Racing Motorcycle oil (a bit overkill but with the high revs and all...) and cfmoto oem filter. Going up to see what Bundy Hill is like on Friday if you are looking for some fun come on out! Not sure what part of Ohio you are from or how far that is for ya.

do not put to much talk on them bolts when put back together like i did , I had to replace the primary cover.

That’s where they all are. But if you relocate the air box you can do an oil change in 5 mins super easy.

Hi i was talking to u the other day about my oil leaking on my zforce 950 . When we changed the oil the was no gasket for the oil bunk would that make it leak that much

Its 3.06 qts which is basically 3 qts. You mentioned you put 3.6 qts, sounds like your overfilling your Zforce.

The book says 3.6 quarts FULL. I only put 3 in because the rest is still in the oil cooler/lines

Do you know if the fram ch6104 fits the 2022 zforce 500? I haven’t really been able to find much info on it.
