CFMOTO Ignored Kenny When His ZFORCE CAUGHT FIRE

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Recently a friend's 2023 Cfmoto Zforce 800 EX was destroyed by fire. In this video you will hear the story and how it turned out. Also I want to educate any Zforce owners to keep an eye on the lock ring that fastens the fuel sender to the top of the fuel tank on the Zforce 800 and 500 side by sides. If you own one of these machines, be sure to check the lock ring on the fuel tank each ride.

Hey Roland. Thanks for the video. I hope it helps people in some way. They should check their machines for fuel or fumes leaking around the entire system. It hurts my heart to think someone could be injured or killed from the same situation.

I would be mad too, but the insurance company should be investigating and then going after cfmoto. If you dont have insurance you really cant get mad if something happens like this.

Also on the cf Moto clx700, I was traversing a curve on a highway and as soon as you start to lean, there's a 5" gap across the highway with a lip facing you sticking up that grabbed me one night putty me in a death wabble. Somehow I was slammed to the ground being knocked out sliding down the highway at 60mph. Several injuries including TBI. Had gear on, when coming to, I tried to stand up to get out of the highway only to realize that I was still sliding. My right index finger was angled in the palm of my hand as I came to trying to stand up before realizing I was sliding, so I laid back down only to have my hand stuck in front of my helmet watching the glove disintegrate and then my finger started to peel away to the bone with my eyes locked onto it. Then CF Moto puts out a recall saying that with abs, if the brakes were hit twice it would not allow a safe stop. That's why I could not pull out of the wabble. As soon as it happened, It felt like when I hit the lip, like I hit a brick. So with 2 fingers over the brake, it caused a multiple tap of the brakes during the wabble. And nothing could be done that a safety feature was unsafe. I.E recalled. Of course this state is "you cars have to be road worthy" then why doesn't the road have to be auto worthy? And the EMT took helmet off on site, not neck brace and at ER all that was done was sewing up lacerations on my shin and then look at my finger (look like a shark took a shark took a bite out of a hotdog that blew up in the microwave, and say nothing we can do about that. So they didn't even clean the debris out. X-ray the shin and finger to make sure not broken and sent home. I had a traumatic severe wreck and no CTs on head, neck or back?🤔 Then while trying to recover at home alone, I was passing out daily unaware until I came to gasping for air. That happened for 2 weeks straight with me wondering which would be my last as no one would have known until I just didn't respond and someone decided to check on me. Sorry for the novel. After 30 years of riding, I can honestly and regretfully say I will never get back on a motorcycle. My brain will not let me. After I was able to drive, I got down the block, saw cars and turned around and went back home. It took a while for me to not stress driving my car.

thank you for the video i purchased a cfmoto 1000 overland thinking it was a fantastic machine and you get a ton of bike for a very reasonable price. boy was i wrong !my machine has a whopping 400 km on it and when i took it out this spring from its winter hybrernation it was running very week. could not exceed60 km per hour. i brought this machine to a dealer only to find a blown melted coils ,it was running on 1 cylinder. a new coil was ordered and installed and still the same problem. the ecu was replaced with one from of their inventory bikes and it runs okay. so now i have a melted coil and a blown ecou that only runs 1 cylinder and chit out of luck 1 year warranty just expired . i regret buying this bike i feel it will always give me issues and it will become a bottomless pit the moral of the story is you get what you pay for. that may cfmoto experience never again. cheers

The company should’ve gave them a new unit. They would’ve saved so much more money because it would’ve made Kenny happy as hell and also he would’ve got on the KZread and told the story about his unit and told people that they replaced it with a brand new one people would probably, like this guaranteed that they give that they backed their product up and they probably would’ve got more sales

I smelled gas on my old 2020 ZForce 800 and saw on RNG to put RTV Silicone on the lock ring to prevent it from getting loose. I did that and it solved my problem so I also did it on my ZForce 950 HO Sport before I ever smelled any gas.

I have a 2020 zforce 800 trail. When I hit 1500 miles I was lucky enough to see fuel on the ground. When tightening the cap. Take a hammer and screwdriver then gently hammer it tight but not so much it breaks the plastic. I now have 2500 miles with no problems. Cf moto should definitely have a recall for this. I live in the mountains of Oregon and gets very dry and that could have caused a huge forest fire!

If you smell fuel you better not drive it till you find out where the leak is coming from. Otherwise you could end up with a portable barbecue. That goes for any gas powered vehicle. My 21 cforce 800xc had a fuel pump problem when I first got it, used to quit hot below half a tank of fuel. Anyway, I needed a fuel pump, the lock ring was so tight I had to use an oil filter strap to get that thing loose. Another way of telling if that lock ring is tight on the fuel tank. When you take the gas cap off it should be under some pressure. If not, you better check that lock ring on your tank.
