The Rabbit R1 doesn't have any apps but connect to apps. Meaning, still apps are needed. AI is pretty much the highlight which means you are depending on the quality and continuation of the service by the manufacturer.

Why would they not question the value of it? They are just repeating the marketing campaign for each device. Why bother going at all if that’s what you’re going to do.

Not exactly sure what the rabbit device does. Sure it features an AI language model built-in, but you didn’t really do a good job of describing why someone might replace their phone or grab this instead of their smart phone can you elaborate more on what this device can do?

Let's just see how it works first. If this works as intended with few if any bugs, then it would be greater than an app that can be glitchy, buggy, and distracting. I can't count the amount of times I've gone to my phone for productivity only to open up another addicting app and get distracted from what I wanted to do for 20 minutes. If the R1 just works, then it should all be good, not to mention battery life. If it's lightweight and has a long battery life, then it's useful.

the thing is TCL colored nxt paper tech has been available before but not much movement on that. rabbit AI concept is cool the device R1 is not really because i will have to say everything out loud!. the other stuffs are just so sad!

I don't understand that phone case with a Qwerty keyboard on it... Most people can type a paragraph on a phone much faster than you can type with a 'handheld' physical keyboard these days (there is a reason why Blackberry's popularity died apart from bad management). I can't help but feel the case is irrelevant and doomed to fail, but hopefully I'm wrong and it will be a successful product.

funny, because i have opposite experience - i hate missclicking letters on cyber keyboard and it mostly never happen when im type writing on physical. must check this one, if it wouldnt be too small, but idea is great. also i would llike to ook at this keyboard instead of the one on phone.

The rabbit R1 is interesting. It wants to get away from the app based software we have. But it connects to apps? So you still need a laptop at least to even use it. Where smartphones now are stand alone.

It's not designed to kill apps, rather act as a personal assistant that can interface with them on your behalf.

Rabbit R1 - This has great potential to be a "Smart App" on your current phones as "Mint for Apps - App Aggregator with conversational ai" that integrates with other services. No point of a brand new device that looks like a toy for 5 year old with limited capabilities, the idea to reduce apps on our existing phones sound great but by no means we can live without a lot of apps.
