Because that’s supposed to be what a good female is like. A man makes mistakes but should be forgiven because he’s a man. The novels are the same, even if the husband is controlling and abssive.

Just watched this clip and I'm annoyed af ! Sooo he's the scumbag who's cheating but instead of reading him the riot act, she's taking the blame when breaking up with him and he's acting like a narcissist.
