At least in this drama they give a little time to see the abusive male lead show remorse and evolve a bit. Makes it slightly more believable for them to get together at the end.

2:46:41 I really don’t understand why she’s angry with him and allowed the adoptive brother to beat up ML. ML is the one who should be aggrieved. Her lies cost him 3 years of his life as well as being attacked to near death. I really don’t understand her reasoning here. She’s just being mean or is it the mental illness? Her mother colluded with her ex-husband to kill ML’s father yet he’s not holding that against her. Right now I’m very confused. Also, he’s not even aware of his mother’s involvement in her mother’s death. Her mind right now is so warped.

When the man said, "I spoiled you too much, now you no longer don't know what to do" at 57:46, it really caught my attention! I had to pause it at 57:38 and I could not look away. The way they kissed and he stared at her was so passionate! The male lead was really going in; he was even getting a lil touchy, on the shoulders, then the chin, as he wanted her full eyes on him, and her trembling, and reassuring she wasn't lying while shy.. THATS WHEN HE GOES IN, KISSING HER… (bro was holding back from the temptation) THE MALE ACTOR, HIS KISSING SKILLS ARE 10/10… 😭😭 1:23:42… this scene, the waist pull, and him pushing her towards his body.

Ok, so this was a wonderful drama to watch and much less toxic than the usual. Although I really like this FL, it's the MLs performance in the 2nd half of the drama that impressed me. He's also very handsome, which is a plus. They do go through a lot together. The child was really cute, and I wish she was in more scenes. I recommend this one if you like a lot of angst but a happy ending. 😊 Oh yeah, the kisses were enjoyable, too. Great chemistry!

好看，劇情精彩，男主劉擎跟女主白妍，還有小女孩.助理演員們都很優秀，可惜一些部分跟小說不同，例如小說男主是親眼看著女主跳崖崩潰的，還有女主自殺後男主看到女主的日記本，一頁一頁寫著對男主的愧疚與愛，都是很精彩的節點，可惜沒有拍出來。

What an amazing drama! Great quality in all aspects. I have seen the ML in other dramas, but his acting skills were amazing. He made me cry with him a few times, especially when he was pretending to be the mom while chatting with the little girl on the phone. The storyline is also very profound, not the typical Chinese drama with hateful stepmothers/sisters; it was more focused on their own struggles. It also portraits the reality of having depression, a topic that is still taboo in many places. Amazing drama, this one raised the bar really high.

Unlike 99% of these dramas with toxic men who abuse their wives, and yet expect to be forgiven with barely an “I’m sorry”, this drama is very different and has a male lead who should hate the female lead and yet he does not become super toxic/abusive and even finds it in his heart to love and forgive her. It’s a nice change of pace from the relentless misogyny of most of these dramas. ❤

Just look at your own view😒😏. What dignity does she have again when she betrayed him??. He wasn't even that harsh on her like I expected. She broke his trust, so whatever he does to her is deserving even though she didn't mean to betray him. No one knows that she was forced to betray him except her family, and nothing she would say would bring back that trust. It even got to a point where her over confidence pissed me off 😂. Like y lie ?? You keep giving him a bad view of you instead of making it better. Even if she never wanted to do it, the pain she caused him is already there especially when he was stabbed in the prison. There's no need of being humble anymore Try going to jail for a crime you didn't commit and see how it feels 😂. Especially when it's someone that you trust that betrays you. I bet you'd do worse. She is not just commenting about the female actor. I know someone in real life, that did do any bad things to her husband. She humbled herself to all kind of bad treatment by her mom and her husband and didn't complained. Her husband on purposly do all kind of bad treatment to make the wife to give up the marriage. This user is actually encouraging real life wife in any of your or my neighborhood. If they are in that situation, don't give up life and to be strong again. Since she knows she's the cause of what is happening to her, she should have given up on the marriage like the husband wanted. To fall in love is easy, then to fall in love and trust that person so much is really difficult. So when you break that trust there's nothing else there for you except retribution 🤷‍♀️. And didn't her mom did those bad things to her coz of what she did? Yeah she's free to move on but I do believe in karma especially when what you did to someone hasn't been forgiven. Being betrayed by someone you love is the most heart wrenching feeling you could ever experience. Sorry but I still think there's no humility left for her in front of the man she betrayed. She could get it somewhere else but definitely not the man
