I got two old yellow Lamis made by Beckmans (Lynbrook). I cracked the two piecer by the ferrule so Donna from DonArt (Freeport) cut a yellow sleeve, glued and wrapped it. The one piecer needs to be rewrapped with new guides. Both places are long gone. There was also Garans, Skippys and Merrick Tackle. I run mostly Penn USA ss reels. I scooped up spare brand new extra spools for each and also got 2 sets of bail springs for each. The reels are in very good to excellent condition. I plan to pick up a Nasci for freshwater. Better known companies are the way to go because you can get parts easier.

Try dawia saltiga 8'6 gt 180 that rod is dream for striped bass , i used manly on pike

i looked at the same exact rod from the same exact place....i ended up going with st croix legend surf 9' mod fast. had to go to CT at the time, since no place in NY carried them.

I own a Century Nor'easter, does everything well and absorbs a lot of abuse. Bill Wetzel has a Nor'easter and a Stealth, he knows a thing or two about surf-fishing.
