Once you get past the Sydney sprawl there is lovely scenery when the train goes along the Hawksbury River.

Wasn't a new idea. The ABC had a black and white film, "Sydney to Gosford" or "Sydney to Newcastle" in 5 minutes, which they used to use to fill in the gap between the end of Dr.Who at about 6:55pm and the 7pm news. From sometime in the 60s, if i remember it correctly.

Damn the driver is definitely exceeding track speed!!! Oh wait it's sped up footage 😂😂

Brings back memories of the morning grind I use to do from woy Woy to newtown, had to change schools cause It got a bit much

Interesting how you can see the light at the end of the Woy Woy tunnel from the very start. Shows it's dead straight as it's the longest tunnel in NSW (I think).

I was surprised by the stops at both Eastwood and Berowra. It's many years now since I last made that journey, but don't remember those stops.

Eastwood was a stop for all Newcastle trains for many years and was only removed from the timetable a few years ago.

phew...at least you got the memory card in for Berowra..!, made for a real fast Hornsby to Berowra service loved this and I know a Sydney train driver who was telling me about these videos....thats how I found this

Surely that was North Sydney, was expecting to see the harbour bridge.

The best music is the V set's cam noise, except ten times the speed may not sound so nice.

What Tran is this xpt or a intercity mero train?

Great video. Music sucks though but not a problem as I muted the sound and cranked up my own stuff. Any chance of putting in station names as we go through ? Keep up the good work !
