If the system is old, replace everything if the client will go for the money. If not change compressor and do thourough check of the rest of the existing system good luck, Love all your videos. Would love you and your crew to replace my furnace for me, a 25 year old counterflow but I am in the northern burbs of the city and I use oil which for some unknown reason you stay away from them. Steve Lav does oil but too far away. Guess I will have my oil supplier do it for me then. I wast a top of the line Thermo Pride counterflow with a beckett AFG burner. Day hi to your mascots Stoley and GiGi. I am the one who sent them the Biscuits a while ago. Thanks for the hat, sticers and pen. Keep posting your great videos. Very informative, educational and entertaining !

Couldn't agree more!

Whoever originally installed the system may have brazed the lines without first running nitrogen in the lines. This could have contaminated the oil causing the compressor to go south. Also if you replace the system without replacing the lines you could be leaving the comatament oil in the lines to damage the new system.

I usually find capacitors and liquid restrictions kill compressorsnthe most in southeast

Suggestion: for completeness, you might want to add an extra minute of video footage, to show the condition of the inside of dwelling air filters, since that could have been a factor in the compressor failing.

Great suggestion! For the record and for full transparency, the homeowner is quite anal about monthly even during the winter months changing the filters now granted your air conditioning your HVAC filters should be kept clean at all times however it is even more important that they remain clean during the season to prevent a restriction of airflow in the heating season, a filter can result in a high limit Plenum sensor going on safety

Hmm, "burn out" oh yes, replace outdoor unit, replace a coil and flush out line set. bad compressor? cause maybe bad low - pressure cut off switch or some one pass the switch. Again hot oil burned the winding on the electric motor, why called "burn out" system has been contaminated. Come on Mikey, you still driving around central park, working out some more of your problems,lol. Love you buddy, you be safe out there.

poor bosch didnt' sound so great. what was going on there? Nothing but drain problems here lately. Had one compressor dead this summer. The terminals were blown right off the compressor and plug blew off it.

Once I kind of shifted that and bang that unit, I gave her a slap on the back a few times she got quite quiet

You can tell that thing was cooking the top of that compressor was crispy
