Even if scorched earth lands On April 1st that's nearly 7 months to the first official map, seems like it's going to take years to restore all the expansions and ark 2 is probably a fever dream. Never seen a ball dropped so hard. This company just has no accountability

1. You assume they're going to last that long as a company when their financial troubles are what's causing these decisions in a vicious circle. Jeremy Steiglitz too said the teams all focused on Ascended(ie due to needing money just to keep the lights on) back in both dec and jan. So Ark 2 is indefinitely shelved at best or cancelled at worst. 2. The best accountability that we've been seeing so far: people arent buying and warning off others from buying through word of mouth and vids like this one. That's going to continue, especially once the sticker shock for the frontier pack is known.

It's never gonna happen. That would require work. And Wildcard didn't get where they are today by working hard. They just let modders fix everything. There is an interview from a snail higher up blatantly explaining that they let the community make the content then they monetize it. Anything that requires work that isn't monetizable is a waste of time to them.

I love how Wildcard keeps asking for more money but to date they have yet to release a single thing on time.

The quality they require? My gods. How bad was it? 🤔

Even one of their volunteer moderators(GP) called them out on twitter and said Center is (at least) delayed until after SE is released speculating may or later. Snail knew at least a month ago(if not longer) that they werent getting the center released this month). Priority is to get SE delivered so they can hope for a revenue stream from the frontier pack. However given the small numbers of people playing and not intending to return, the chances for decent sales not happening is almost guaranteed. Worse once the sticker shock of the price for it is known, it'll likely become more bad press and less buying it as well(predictions are its not going to be cheap due to the company's desperation for revenue)

If it goes pay to win that's okay as I'm sure the players will just put up with it like they put up with everything else for the past 7 years

Sad times man. The games so scuffed on a fundamental level. They had a chance to rewrite the code and they ported the unoptimized garbage. Games like 80 gig with 1 map. Setting up to be bigger than ASE ever was in my ssd.

They even ported an OLDER version of the game. So many bugs that had been fixed in the previous game now exist again. Wildcard probably have one of the most braindrad dev teams.

The lost wild is meant to come out this year which is another survival game, jurassic park survival is another that's coming out some time within the next couple years plus theres all ready beasts of bermuda, the isle - not as good as it used to be, path of titans which you actually play as a dino

Unofficial servers keep disappearing on me. I think if some mods need an update, it can sometimes cause the server to disappear, until the admin notices it. It's really terrible if you have a limited time to play and you look forward to it all day, only to find out the server isn't listed anymore.

Actually no. Its PR misdirection by shifting blame to Grove Street and Instinct they can make it seem like they're the victim when the real reason is money troubles which are spurring the prioritization to get the MTX frontier pack with SE out the door because the company is treading water financially.

yeah, it lost my support when they stopped focusing on the dinosaur survival. I mean, Aberration was awesome (and I'd even say it deserves to be its own game), but after that it's just been getting increasingly dumber. These player skins are like something you'd see in Fortnite and if they're gonna ruin their game with Pay to win, at least make it a creature that isn't so stupid and out of place.

I am surprised whoever is responsible for project management has not been fired yet. The company does not have competent managers nor disciplinary measures for failing the deadline over and over again. In any other company, people would have been given a sack for this. Considering the terrible reputation Wildcard has I don't think any experienced developer or manager wants to get hired there. I'd love to read stories of former Wildcard employees because it'd shine the light on what the hell is going on there at last. At this point, I want ASA to fail because Wildcard is a lost cause and the studio doesn't show any ability to improve.

There are a lot of red flags about this creature. If you read the dossier carefully it looks like we wont be getting what the players want, and what their hyping it up to be - A cool floating island to build a base on. It looks like you are paying to participate in a pvp type event for temporary control of an area on a goofy flying landmass with some legs tacked on it. I say this because the game currently has issues with titan sized creatures - they are all 24 hour only tames and a VERY limited ammount on the map. WC themselves said this is why we couldnt all have titanosaurs when it was released. Im guessing they will do one of 2 things > a temporary raid tame or event, or no.2 basically a much smaller creature than advertised, something more like a flying megachelon. I highly doubt the second because the dossier clearly states 'the favored tribe has acess to the pool' meaning non exclusive access and a possibly limited time of control. A lot of people are going to be very disappointed after paying if what is clearley stated on the dossier is true. More disappointment incoming.

I've never seen a game consistently delay like literally every aspect of their game, and I can't in good concious finanically support Wildcard anymore, I got a delayed release, my least favorite map from the base game (the Island) , A bunch of bugs, Server Instability, exploits, less content, problems carrying over from the base game, a game that 70% of the players playing can't even run optimally, cheaters, and the list goes on. I'm ready to allow this game, the game developer, and especially the game publisher to become a distant memory and yet another failed abandoned game project, this is just absurd levels of incompetency and lack of meaningful communication. These are the type of game publishers and game developers that don't deserve support from any game consumer for ASA at least. In my eyes there's nothing Ark Survival could release that would entice me to play this game anymore. It's about time we allow a new company take a shot and be better than Wildcard and Snail Games.

I just imagine getting up to the Oasisaur to tame it and a credit card window pops up instead of the usual progress and effectiveness window. Then it eats money straight from your bank account until tamed, non refundable for botched tames obviously.

People are moving on and rightly so. This isn't 2015, people expect more. Being drip-fed content like this was never going to work not with wildcards record. Wildcard has dug its own grave here. The p2w aspect is obviously coming from Snail and it is another reason people will be inclined (those who don't like p2w aspects) to move on from the game as well.

Ark mobile has had those features for years. It is a free game to install however. The players really need some competing titles to raise the standards of the software and lower the prices. Id prefer that the maps are delayed until they are ready and polished, the maps should cost money and be paid for individually so that there is incentive to release the maps ASAP.

Wildcard needs to start spitting out these maps. Like back to back.

They intentionally designed their Ascended business model to stagger releases. For the maps with their MTX packs and then the other maps in between to use for additional base game(and later mtx) sale deal. This is all to give the company more sustained revenue over the coming years. However sales of ascended have not be good and desperation is even more setting in than before(remember Snail Games before(and now after) release of Ascended is millions in debt and with multiple outstanding loans. They even got in trouble recently with the SEC for not declaring that debt appropriately with their SEC filings (ltbuzz covered that in his video).

I still love the game but i might just stick with palworld and ASE while crossing my fingers that wildcard gets bought out by a publisher that actually gives a damn. All the BS lately from WC has pushed me almost to the point of apathy now.

I bought ASA knowing it might be a mess and when it still wasn't being optimized after a month or two I stopped playing. If all these people that say they sick of it did the same ASA would probably be farther along with the player base gone and declining to a dangerous margin. I totally disagree the packs won't kill ark because as much as people yell they still buy it.

I think the April’s fool will be the center actually coming out instead of SE

I actually designed a mod item back in the day which I never made that would've been a way of reviving (a few) dead tames. You'd choose six slots like a Pokemon team with your favorite dinos and it'd act like a single cryopod for all of them, being soul bound to the player. Instead of actually sending out the dinos tho, you'd send out an editable Tek version which could be colored and given mods to alter its use. Imagine a theri with a Tek saddle, or a light pet that could run c4 without dying. There was one more I made to act as a cryopod counterpart for items: it'd be a troodon sized Tek chicken that was the fastest creature in the game (I'm talking 3x+ turkey dodo speed) which would act as a limited transmitter. You'd load one hotbar worth of items and a set of armor and as long as this chicken stayed alive every time your armor broke you could go get a fresh cloned set. It would also act as item transfer between arks, with an additional transmitted section JUST for eggs: you could keep up to 20 fertilized eggs inside that would never hatch or spoil. These would've both been post-genesis endgame items for a modmap I found the drawings for recently, which I deleted all my notes on because I figured ark didn't deserve this much love. What yt decide my comment is offensive or something and wipe it from existence 😂

Honest I've been having a lot of fun watching what a shit show ASA is from the rear seats as someone who didn't buy it but did buy ASE back in the day so knew it would be but on a whole new level but at this point I'm almost starting to feel sorry for the hardcore Ark fans that keep holding out hope

@@SmokingMan26 the amount of copium I have seen is actually starting to hurt, like I wanted ASA to suck badly because I knew WC was just being shitty, but it turned into just a horrible feeling seeing how they butchered something I loved. and it will take more than a map or a dlc to save the game it has some massive problems to deal with which nobody cares about, and I think for the most part WC has lost any goodwill and respect they had left (if any)

I always thought this pack would function like premium mods, where you can buy it and activate on private servers or single player, but it probably wouldn’t be available on official. Hopefully that is the case since this thing seems broken. But if it is locked to single player/private servers, that would explain its more pay to win nature, as packs that are optional and aren’t available on real pvp, would allow them to make more broken things like this, for the convenience of those who want them.

Reapers drew the line pretty close, but golems were nothing more than glorified stegos back in the day, and wyverns were not useful in combat without speed buffs, at which point even a speed boosted argent would suffice. Manas and meks were the first things that genuinely shook up the meta enough to get people mad.

People still playing ark in 2024 are ride or die kinds of gamers. They will never stop playing no matter what happens.

This is a Chinese game atm. The IP was sold to china and they moved over half the company to china. So far ive seen that everything is delayed and they sneak in information about hiring outside workers. They killed the company! They killed the game! You are buying from a mobile app developer whose goal is micro transactions. These teams are only paid to do the bare minimum. Our game is in danger of losing its place among the best cause it was sold off to a get rich quick scheme. The small dino game is just that. small now. Best thing you can do is resist the temptation to buy. They are desperately trying to incentivize buying. They are not listening to the players on what to change and add. They are making changes that cost players time(crypods). The path system is horrible and makes imprinting a mess when you breed for imprinted stats. They do that and turn around and say here is a dino that if you buy will revive your lost dinos. they are so closed off from everything BUT making money. I was really upset when they made the tribe limit 250 instead of 500. breeding was still limited to a few projects with 500. now i cant have a water pen while i breed for muts. I adjusted just to be smacked again with cryopods having limited range and use now. They are old school coders that troll the players low key. maybe not even low key anymore. i just think the parent company doesn't care anymore. They source it out why fact check everything. that'll cost more lol. I had a ticket answered by gm spino and he couldn't identify one of the most contested spots on the island when he was doing enforcement. The gms don't even know the game! its just a buddy that needed a job and poor soul is learning as he goes. dont buy the new pay to win just yet. Let them beg for the money by changing it the way we want. Ultimately the player has the power when the goal is to make money. They cannot make more money than the game costs unless you give it to them. Know your worth kangs!

Ark has been out one year short of an entire decade. In that time: they have NEVER hit a release date they set. Let me repeat that. Never, not once in ten years of operation, has an ark dlc or patch released on time. Never. Not even one single time. The most minimal amount of delays we ever had was THREE. Most new updates had at least six delays, some of them more. See where I'm going with this?

Knows to expect delays are the norm not the exception. but thinking they're going to not release the center half arsed even later after Scorched Earth. That's a rather peculiar thinking there.. I think LTBuzz in his most recent vid pretty well summed up it: this is the end of Ark. However, to me, this has been a slow terminal illness that just been accelerating in decline in its diseased state.

it sucks but yeah it is not like we are ever going to stop playing they have us hooked! We cant say we dont all love P2W and i hope wildcard goes crazy and adds thousands of dollars of DLC into the game so the elite are better than the poorer players it will be a blast!

Btw it’s not gonna be pay to win it’s a skin everyone on SE will have access to the Dino but the skin for it costs money

I'm actually happy that Ark went to shit honestly, I went on other games now and I touch way more grass, also I don't need to put up with all the toxicity coming from the company, if you still care you should just boycott and stop playing and engaging in their shitty market practices, it came to a point where it's masochistic to continue engaging with this game, it's even worse than the apple fanbase

This is getting beyond a joke. They are killing ARK and ruining what was once a great game. The island has become stale and still has bugs and glitches. SE will not be out April 1st! It’s unfair that we are expected to just except the delays and everyone being like ah it’s wildcard we expect delays. That isn’t ok!

I agree, Dino revival as part of the new DLC is not the best decision from ASA. And they need to get new content out FAST! Releasing Island without a guaranteed plan to bring other maps quicker was also not smart. Maybe they shouldn’t have closed down ASE Official Servers until ASA was more developed. I understand they really wanted to push ASA, but then they should have been more prepared with it. And they never should have made it sound like ASA would be free in the beginning… I do not, however, have a problem with Ark making us pay for ASA and for some of the new DLCs / cosmetics. They are involved in the entertainment business, but there is still ‘business’ in that name. HOD, or any of these KZreadrs wouldn’t keep putting out content if they didn’t get paid for it either. Entertaining us for free is not practical to expect from anyone. Especially people who have to provide for their families from this business. I am sure they are passionate about it, love making games / content that bring us joy… HOD - I love watching your videos… but at some point it still has to make sense financially. Every game out there has to find was to bring in money beyond simply selling the game. Every game has DLCs and cosmetic that cost. They have to I order to survive and continue bringing us content. Just hurry with the new content ASA, and try to make smarter decisions.

Pay to win ain't going to kill Ark survival it already cheat to win 100% of the time. They need to put gun ports and equipment ports on tames to help nullify aimbots which they have completely failed to do. They could have put bases under the maps and code all the loot to delete itself, not be transferable and ban those who take any of it.

I'm bored to death with ASA already.

Releasing the dino was the wrong move. Better to release it with the map.
