Good morning, the College started development of a COVID-19 Relief Bursary in mid-March. An early launch would have meant more work for students to "make their case" and then wait weeks for a cheque. However, we wanted the process to be simple for completion, provide equitable consideration, and enable quick dispensing of funds. Happy to announce the Bursary will launch at 7pm on Monday April 13. We will also be refunding a pro-rated amount of Ancillary Fees for services no longer available (including lockers and parking). Nearly $2 million in funding and fees will be migrating to students’ pockets. More details to follow from our President shortly.

I received a refund of 26 cad. It’s a joke?

Due to COVID-19 lot of international students are facing financial hardship and students are not even using the labs etc. Most of the students lost their jobs and some of the students were not even employed or they were about to get the job but due to COVID-19 all of them are facing problems. Please refund half of the semester fees so that international can manage their financial condition.

Hi Craig, Most of the colleges in and around Ontario like Georgian and senneca have declared financial plans to help out students in need. It would be a great initiative if Centennial also declare something similar.

I contacted the financial services some time ago and this is the answer I received: "We are unable to provide a response to your question at this time as we have not been advised of any decisions in this regard at this time." I hope they revise this and provide us with at least part of the fees (Athletics and Wellness, Technology Fee-Softwre/Wifi, parking...).

An inspiring message from an inspired leader!!

I am an international student in Communication and Media. I need to congratulate the teachers on the big and significant effort they have made to keep on with our education. Congratulations, it has been a good result.

Thank you to the President for the constant updates and words of motivation. Distance learning is tough on everyone, staff and students alike, but we do appreciate the efforts of all the unsung heroes who keep the wheels turning despite the challenges. We know we will get through this and return to enjoy the rowdiness of our various campuses. For those in their final semester, we will graduate and get those jobs or create our own. Centennial College students and staff rock! 💃🕺Oh yes...and alumni too 🤗

Dear Dr. Craig, I am a Culinary student and online cooking classes can never be comparable to real classes. I hope Centennial College will find a way to compensate students. This pandemic affects teachers and students differently. While teachers still get paid as usual, we students receive online labs.

What a great and inspiring video ! Thank you for your leadership and strength( I needed that ) with this video, you raised my head and made me focus and the positive rather then the negatives. Thanks again

It's really hard time, so reduce the college fees atleast 50%.

Hello, Hope this world comes back to normal soon.The staff has been doing really well on online classes but we cannot access either of the facilities in the campuses .We pay tuition fees not for sitting at home and learn on computer .There is a humble request ,Someone take care of international students as well .They are the one struggling right now.Please have a look our situation as well with our fees .Please do something about it .

Hi Craig, Hope you are Fine , The situation that going around is voluntarily out of control. Day to Day Govertment is Proposing new laws to support the fellow citizens and workers. As an International who hailed to canada for the study purpose, Extremely disappointed by the way how college supports their students especially the financial support. Iam not willing to differentiate each and every part of service offered by college that are totally unused for the last few weeks. If the college provide either a credit or a benefit on upcoming semester , It would be really a great deed done by the first Communal college in Toronto. Some of the Amenities such as Library , Locker, Parking, Utilities, Classrooms , Internet, Devices and so on. Most of these items have predictable depreciation cost with which students are not using and hence it would be a benefit for the college to long last . I think that Honorable President who helps their fellow students in every path of their education could find a proper way to give relief on students since this pandemic is not only in Canada but also in overall World.

Mr.president, We (students) are going through a pandemic situation as you know well. All around the world affecting the aftermath of Covid19, someone are still at hospital without having proper medicine. We can not predict what will happen in the coming days. Nowadays, a great deal of students are self isolated at least for 3 week. We know, centennial college had approved one week suspension of all classes and the total course content reduced to 80% .Currently we know , we can not attend classes at college. At the same time, we all need to find money for the next semester's fee as well, unfortunately there is no option to work or earn money to pay. Most of the students here are from different places especially various countries. As you know, this critical situation is not only in our country but also our home countries as well. So it is hard to find enough money. We faithfully request you to give us some financial benefits in terms of refund as well as reduction of fee payment in the coming semesters. Hopefully, all students are waiting for your decision...........

I respect that you are cooperating with all in the convid-19 But on other hand everybody should pay the fees for the things that they are not going to use to establish their skills like : workshop,labs,equipments,machins,wifi,library and other facilities which are included in the fees. We expect to compensate for all these as if we want to learn something on the webcam that we can do in our own country as well and youtube is one of the best way to research and analyse anything. Why are we paying in thousands to your college if we cannot experience the Centennial facilities I hope you will do something better in reducing the fees Please support guys if you have same issue with the college

Sir, we are facing the lot diffculties in canada we are fresh students we didnt have any of the lab faculty even the comm 171 class as a virtual classroom too while we didnt have any assesibility for past weeks why we are paying off whole semster fee now ? Centennial College I received around 21 so dollars in my account today! Is that all the financial aid college can provide for the quality lost and courses that are not up to the mark of a reputed college!

Nice to see our president. I would only suggest that in subsequent videos you use a better camera angle. The low angle is not very professional especially coming from an esteemed office. The camera should rather be at eye level with the person presenting. It would look more flattering. That's my 2 cents. Other than that, it was a great message.
