I waited for this just to see if the song at the end sounded better that on emulator captures made previously, and it does indeed !
This is a god damn fucking MASTERPIECE. Censor are masters of well-directed, beautiful demos. Absolutely mindblowing. And Swallow's samples... did not think it was possible to achieve that quality. Incredible.

I am listening to this and other C64 tunes while I am working. It's better than Spotify! This must be one of my favorite demos. Did you make a storyboard for this demo? The music is awesome and so is the artwork and animation.
x-cellent demo, I am not a fan of imitators, but that does not hold true for "Censor Designs Wonderland," where every follower surpasses themselves. i luv it !

Curious, are you using a retrotink classic to capture via chroma/luma? The picture looks strikingly similar to my results. Fantastic demo!
If one of these Demo coders would JUST MAKE A GAME with these type of cutscenes.... Liek a Fighting game that when you select lets say a Tiger Character, it shows that Tiger head scene shown here floating wiht that awesome background. You know like the consoles usually do. It would just massively raise the quality of games. Presentation Presentation Presentation.

Amazing what these guys could do with the limited hardware in that days. Loved the demoscene during that time and later during the Amiga area. Was even more amazing what some groups would do on cracked games, by adding a demo during boot.

actually they couldn't, yet. the techniques to pull off these tricks mostly were invented much later, like e. g. the 8-bit sampling routine of which the most basic version was AFAIK first shown in 2008. this one is from june 4th, 2023, but on the same old hardware.

@@TRX303 Thansk for teh Info. Was not aware, that the Demoscene was still around. Thought it all ended mostly with the end of the Atari ST and Amiga.
