Even fouling a 3 point shot is still not as bad if all else fails especially given that JB was shooting FT poorly. Nonetheless, they wouldn’t even be in that situation if they just inbound the ball properly.

Zero acknowledgement of Tatum's dominant first three quarters and 10 points in OT including the dagger three. Not to mention 12 boards and savage defense the entire game, including smothering Hali on the final shot of the game. Dude had 36, 12 with 4 assists and three steals, with a plus/minus +20. Celtics were -15 in the few minutes he was off the court. But let's only focus on the two shots he missed. These tabloid level takes tell me that these guys don't really know ball.

Halliburton in general needs to be WAY more aggressive on offense. He's the best shooter on the team, but he's way too focused on trying to be a CP3 "facilitate first" point guard. Even when he misses, they're damn near close to going in. There were several times, as there have been throughout the play-offs, when he could have taken it himself but insisted on passing off resulting in a missed shot.

I think the Celtics are a top team but far from the top because they make way to many mistakes. They would’ve lost this game if they didn’t get saved by a coaching error. If coach coaches well and players play well the Celtics are over with and this is an unbiased POV. I’m not a Pacers or Celtics fan.

  • @Widkey

Agreed. The Celtics are loaded with B+ players which makes them very tough to beat. However, they dont have that A+ player and elite closer great teams need. Tatum is great player overall but he shies away from the big moments too often. When the Celtics need him to take over he passes the ball more often than not. The other thing that hurts the Celtics is their center is out, injured.

I don’t know there’s so much hate for Key in these comments. He’s not bad at all. Shay talked all sports with Skip for years and we loved. Why can’t Key? Another thing Key and Paul are hilarious to watch. They got that Shaq vs Chuck type of humor.

I have seen Brown pass the ball with 2seconds left bse he doesn't want to take a bad shot and mess up his percentage, JT will 100% shoot the ball and mess up his percentage, bse he's the type that takes one for the team. The Celtics usually go to Tatum when the defense has closed down any outlet to the basketball but people with little basketball knowledge don't acknowledge his sacrifice

I get it players are tired but this is when you need that DOG in you to come out. They only played tight defense last play of regulation. Celtics were supposed to have BEEN applying pressure on that defense. I like JT but he has let me down every year in the post season... maybe this year he "finally wakes up"
